"THE BEAUTY THAT REMAINS"

The glow of skin, the charm of face,
May shine for now but leave no trace.
For beauty’s flame is brief and small,
A fleeting light that fades for all.

The perfect smile, the youthful glow,
Will vanish with the winds that blow.
Time will touch each flawless line,
And steal away what once did shine.

But deep within, where true worth lies,
Beneath the skin, beyond the eyes,
The heart that loves, the soul that gives,
In memory, forever lives.

The kindness shared, the gentle grace,
The light you leave in every place
These echoes linger past your days,
In others' hearts, in silent praise.

So chase not beauty, vain and proud,
It disappears behind the cloud.
But let your goodness be your art
A beauty born within the heart.
