ALWAYS IN THE PICTURE , BUT NEVER IN THE FRAME

We met in the simplest way — classmates na naging tropa, tropa na naging almost-family. Sa lahat ng events, sa lahat ng gala, sa lahat ng low moments at high moments, nandun ako. Hindi siya sanay na wala ako sa tabi niya.

And honestly, I loved it. I loved being the person he could always count on. Yung tipong kahit madaling araw, kapag nag-chat siya, I’d reply. Kahit pagod ako, I’d still listen. Kahit busy, I’d still show up. Because that’s what you do for someone you care about.

"GNC, DISCIPLINE IS NOT JUST ABOUT ACADEMICS. IT'S ABOUT RESPECT AND HUMANITY"

GNC DISCIPLINE YOUR COLLEGE STUDENTS WELL — ESPECIALLY WITH REGARDS GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT, AND SAFE SPACE ACT!!!

This happened recently, nung Tuesday pauwi ako and nakapila sa sakayan pangdau sa gilid ng simbahan. The line is unexpectedly long that day, and worst, bigla pang umulan. Then I heard these two boys from GNC (they're wearing uniform, of course—how can I identify them if hindi diba?). If I'm not mistaken, they're civil engineering students. At first, I didn't really care about their convo, but since the other guy is way too loud, I heard him clearly—first making fun of his classmate being cringe and all. Then he diverted his attention to a stranger (not sure yet who that time), saying "gaysh*t" repeatedly.

Then I heard the other guy saying "Tumbukan ke ata ini, mababasa ku!" angrily but not really facing who he is referring to. Then I saw the student in front of them completely still with his umbrella, prolly out of fear (nakita kong pumapatak yung tubig na galing sa payong, but it was out of our control naman—besides sila tong galaw ng galaw and dikit ng dikit sa bata), kasi you can literally hear these stupid boys saying inappropriate stuffs.

Basta yung guy na mataba na maitim also made fun of him, saying "buti wala akong cellphone." Of course, naconfuse ako nung una. Then I checked the student in front of them—basang basa yung likod from his shirt down to his pants. At first, I thought baka kasi hindi marunong magpayong, but then these stupid boys AGAIN! INTENTIONALLY pouring the water from their umbrella, then chuckling as if it's the funniest thing in the world!

I got so frustrated and angry because the student didn't do anything. He remained calm and tried to at least avoid them in the tiniest ways he can.

And yes! They continuously verbally assault the student hanggang sa makasakay sila. How I wish nakasakay din ako sa jeep with that student (he's from DHVSU, nabasa ko lang sa shirt nya sa likod). Papaturo lang ako kung paano magkaroon ng ganoong kahabang pasensya.

How I wish they taught those boys good manners and right conduct first, kasi if these are the future professionals, girl, this country will continuously be fu**ed!!!

This is a call out as well to all Univ and Colleges out there to teach your students how to be human too!!!

Hi Carlo,

Ewan ko kung tama bang sinusulat ko pa 'to, pero baka ito na lang yung paraan para masabi ko lahat ng hindi ko nasabi noon.

Alam mo, sa dami ng araw na magkasama tayo — sa klase, sa canteen, sa mga lakad na hindi naman planado — hindi ko in-expect na ikaw yung magiging pinaka-mahalaga sa lahat. Hindi ko nga rin alam kung kailan nagbago. Basta isang araw, napansin ko na lang… masaya ako basta nandyan ka.

Pero dumating yung point na kailangan kong pumili. Pinili ko yung future na inaasahan ng pamilya ko, yung opportunities na minsan lang dumating. At sa pagpili ko nun, ikaw yung hindi ko nasama. Hindi dahil hindi kita mahal, kundi dahil natakot akong piliin ka sa oras na hindi pa ako handa.

Ngayon, naiisip ko pa rin — paano kaya kung lumaban ako? Baka tayo pa. Baka hindi. Pero ang alam ko, Carlo… ikaw yung “what if” na dala ko habang buhay.

Pasensya na kung na duwag ako. Pasensya na kung hindi ako lumaban para sa’yo. Pero sana kahit paano, maalala mo na minahal din kita, kahit hindi naging tayo.

Hindi ko alam kung mababasa mo ‘to, at okay lang kung hindi. Pero sana balang araw, even if we never ended up together, maalala mo na may isang taong minahal ka nang tahimik pero totoo.

Ikaw yung TOTGA ko. At siguro… okay na rin kahit hanggang dun na lang.

Secret Files #02

Title : Kapag ang prof. ang problema

We have this prof na super homophobic, egoistic, narcissist, body shamer, cheater (sya mismo nag-kwento sa amin), and so on. Everytime na may schedule kami sa kanya, ay mas gugustuhin nalang namin na mag-absent o dahil sa kanya minsan napapa-isip kami na lumipat ng school. Sometimes may mga point sya na talagang mag-aagree ka, pero madalas pointless.

Sinasabi niya mismo kung gaano nya kaayaw sa mga babae, at minsan ipinapakita niya kung paano niya i-down grade ang mga babae. At yung subject nya is science, pero pinapasok nya lagi si God sa lectures. Okay lang kung ganoon, pero wag naman sa point na nag-contradict yung subject sa ginagawa nya.

Yung jokes niya na about r@₱€, lalo na sa pag-victim blaming niya sa mga students na na-sexual assault yun talagang nakaka-inis. May mga pagkakataon din na tinatawag niya ang mga students niya ng "bobo", "tanga," at "muting" at minamaliit niya ang mga co-workers niya. Ipinagyayabang pa niya na ayaw daw siyang alisin ng school.

Okay lang tawagin kaming bobo or what sa class, pero wag naman pahalatang oldies na kayo dahil sa pananalita at ugali. Wag rin ipagmalaki ang cheating at personal na buhay sa klase at sabihing lahi niyo lang ang anak niyo. Actually wala pa yan sa mga below the belt niyang mga jokes. kulang pa siguro ang 90+ pages ni hamilton about sa cheating issue na pinagsasabe niya sa klase. Wag ding i-judge ang opinion ng iba, kaya nga opinion, ibig sabihin walang tama o maling sagot. kung may bobo, muting at tanga po here, ikaw po yon.

Professor Goals

Meron kaming prof na sobrang chill pero ang dami naming natututunan. Hindi siya naninigaw, hindi nang-iinsulto, at lagi siyang may kwentong nakakagaan ng loob bago mag-discuss. Sana lahat ng prof ganito, kasi ang gaan mag-aral pag alam mong may respeto yung teacher sa estudyante.
