That’s why today I filed a bill seeking to establish the Tambobo Bay Port and Logistics Hub to relieve the strain on Dumaguete’s port, create jobs, open up new shipping routes, and boost the regional economy.

June 26, 2025 — Capitol, Negros Oriental — The Provincial Government of Negros Oriental proudly celebrated a momentous achievement today as 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 “𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐜𝐨” 𝐋. 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚 was honored as an 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲.

The Maharlika Awards, an esteemed recognition given to exemplary public servants who exemplify dedication, integrity, and outstanding service to the Filipino people, once again spotlighted the unwavering commitment of Negros Oriental’s leadership to public service excellence.

The awarding ceremony was graced by notable officials, including Provincial Treasurer Jessie Dagdayan, who received the award on behalf of Governor Sagarbarria from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) in Cebu City last June18, 2025. This recognition underscores the exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication of Governor Sagarbarria in steering the province toward sustainable development and good governance.

Sa paghuman nako sa akong termino isip Mayor sa Siaton, mapabilin nato ang kalampusan sa usa sa atong plataporma kaniadto - ang Tambobo Port na mag biyahe sa barge going mindanao, or Dapitan to be exact.

Way back after pandemic nagpatabang gyud ko ni Port manager Atty. Sarah R. Mijares nga mapalaluman nato ang Tambobo Bay para na a biyahe para mindanao - proposal of dredging Project, series of meetings, letters of proposal to the National Goverment and other agencies.

Hangtod nag change Admin og na grant ni President Bongbong Marcos ang atong request -nahatagan na gyud ta sa 150M dredging project. Nasugdan kini sa 2024 pero tungod kay 2025 naay election daghang political rivals sa Siaton ang nagpa signature campaign nga babagan ang maong dredging para dli kini madayun, tungod nahadlok sila na naay election sa 2025 ug kini dako na kalampusan para sa akong Administration kung madayun kini. Bisan sa ilang mga political propaganda nagpadayun ta og wala napugngi ang maong proyekto.

At present, opening na sa atong port og musogod na ang biyahe - Cargo only for the meantime while waiting for the holding area para maka cater og passengers.
