𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓: Media and Information Literacy for Elementary Learners

Through InfoSmart, we taught elementary learners how to identify real and fake news, avoid false information, and become responsible users of media. We also discussed how to check if posts on social media are true and explained the disadvantages of excessive media use.

After the discussion, we conducted a relief goods distribution, which included donated clothes from our STE students and a raffle draw with noodles, biscuits, and school supplies.

This outreach program was successfully held at Brgy. Maasin on January 31, 2026. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Brgy. Maasin for their cooperation and warm support.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to STE teachers, STES, YCA, Inner Sparks, and ERC, as well as to all the Media Creatives officers and members who came and helped despite the rainy weather. Your dedication made this outreach meaningful and successful.

This small celebration is our way of showing how thankful we are for his patience, support, and guidance in every task and project. The Passi NHS–Special Program in Science, Technology, and Engineering (SPSTE) welcomes Dr. Ronilo V. Aponte, Associate Professor IV of Iloilo State University of Fisheries, Science and Technology, as our esteemed session speaker.

This workshop aims to empower participants to develop exceptional SIPs across various fields, including (a) life science, (b) physical science, (c) robotics and intelligent machines, (d) innovation, and (e) mathematics and computational science.

Today we celebrate our Media Creatives Adviser, sir Edsel, who has been one of the biggest reasons why our club feels special. Media Creatives is not just about making layouts, pubmats, and documenting every STE activity. It is also about learning how to use media properly, sharing information, and creating digital designs that inspire others. All of these we are able to do because of your guidance and patience. You always guide us in every program, inform us on what to do, and teach us how to do things the right way. Thank you, Sir Edsel, for the time, effort, and care you give to us. We are so grateful to have you as our adviser. Happy Teachers Day from your Media Creatives family.
