Is he just a man? Is he someone more? Hereโs a few points to consider in making your claim of who Jesus is.
๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ #๐: ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ. Have you ever thought why people all around the world celebrate Christmas? How about Holy Week? Here in the Philippines, regardless of your religion, every year, you have December 25 as Christmas, and between the last week of March and the first week of April, you have Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday, and Resurrection or Easter Sunday. You may argue that in the West this has already been changed or made politically correct โ they donโt say Merry Christmas anymore, rather just simply โHappy Holidays!โ Good point โ but that still doesnโt change the fact that they are celebrating a season of giving, a season to be with the family, a season to be happy โ a season of love, which, I would like to believe, is the spirit of Christmas. The birth of Jesus is a season of love because love himself came to this world in the form of a human baby.

Our history is divided into two major parts: B.C. and A.D. โB.C.โ means Before Christ, while โA.D.โ short for โAnno Dominiโ which means โin the year of our Lordโ; and yes, the โChristโ and the โLordโ there pertains to Jesus. These terms were coined by people outside of the Bible โ and up to today, both Christians and non-Christians still refer to our years as either B.C. or A.D.
๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ #๐: ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ . Nothing can come out of nothing. In order for something to start, there has to be something. To those who believe the Big Bang Theory โ let me ask you one thing, what caused the Big Bang? You may say it began as a hot, dense singularity โ but still the same question, where did that hot, dense singularity come from? We cannot argue that we all came from nothing, because nothing plus time is still nothing. We all came from something, or rather Someone.
๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ #๐: ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ง ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐. Do you know that a caterpillar who wrapped itself to make a cocoon, needs to break out of it on its own, in order to become a healthy butterfly? If you try and โhelpโ it out of the cocoon, it would cripple the butterfly, and then it will die. Have you ever thought why is it that when you divide the circumference of a circle by its diameter you always end up with Pi? At the same time, do you know that the Earth has never stopped rotating in its axis, because if it stops, even just for 1 second, everything will be destroyed. Or have you even thought about why you donโt need to think about breathing โ or right now, the fact that youโre conscious about breathing because we talked about breathing? This is what order looks like โ our world, as broken as it may be, is still filled with order and design. Where do you think did this come from? Do you still think all these are just random? Still just coincidence? Wouldnโt it be more rational to think that all these are carefully crafted?

Is this something society dictates โ such that it is defined by the greatest number and that which benefit the greatest part of the population? I beg to differ and respectfully disagree. Letโs say, theoretically, you magically appear alone in an island โ would that mean you no longer have a โfeelโ of whatโs bad or whatโs good? Or imagine a child, innocently playing with his or her friends โ can we say then that he or she does not have any sense of morality just because he or she does not know what the greatest part of the population dictates as โgoodโ or โbadโ? If we look deep down into our hearts, I am pretty sure there is something there that just feels โoffโ when we do something bad, and feels โgoodโ when we do something good. Taken collectively, this is what we know as the moral law โ we know killing is bad because of this. We know taking whatโs not ours is bad because of this. We know cheating is bad because of this. Now, if there is a moral law โ and it is something we feel collectively, then logically, this cannot have originated from as. We are mere recipients of the moral law โ and if we are the recipients, then who is the Giver?
