If you’re looking for a quick snack, the local 7-Eleven has been stepping up its game with their Onigiri selection.

For those who haven’t tried it yet, Onigiri is a Japanese staple—essentially a handheld rice ball wrapped in crisp nori (seaweed), usually stuffed with a savory filling. 7-Eleven's version is triangular.

It’s the ultimate "grab-and-go" fuel.

We recently stumbled upon two flavors that are delicious: Spam Onigiri and Adobo Flakes Onigiri.

If you want a bit of a kick, don't forget the Spicy Kani variant—it’s a personal favorite for a reason! Perfect for a quick lunch or a late-night study snack.

Which one are you grabbing first?

Stepping into the Belmont Café feels like a breath of fresh air. Between the vibrant tropical murals and those sleek teal walls, the vibe is just as curated as the menu.

We got a sneak peek (and taste!) during the media tour, and let’s just say—Iloilo’s food scene just leveled up.

Everything looks almost too pretty to eat, but we managed. 😉 Keep an eye out for their opening soon!

Honestly, I didn’t know if I should eat them or just stare at them! 😅 These little handcrafted rice cake roses from Mochikoy are absolute works of art.

There’s something so satisfying about the layers—Ube, Banana, Melon, and Pandan all in one soft, chewy bite. Topped it off with that toasted coconut crunch and a hot cup of coffee... afternoon made. ☕️🌈

Not too sweet, perfectly bite-sized, and definitely made with a lot of heart.

Price: P139/set (9 pieces)

Check out Mochikoy for their next pre-order batch!

Some things are better left unchanged, especially when it comes to Ilonggo barbecue. 🍢

While the city landscape changes, the flavor at Fort in the City remains a delicious constant. We dropped by their SM Central Market branch and felt a wave of nostalgia.

We had their Chicken Inasal Pecho and it was grilled the traditional way. It’s thick, smoky, and hits different when dipped in that classic toyomansi-sili combo.

Tag someone you want to spend your weekend spend at The Fort in the City!

Usually, when I think of steak or BBQ, I expect a long wait and a heavy bill. But it turns out, I just hadn't looked closely enough at the United Steak stall.

It’s such a simple, no-fuss setup—you get your meal that just hits the spot.

Searching for a "quiet corner" in the middle of Iloilo City Proper? 🏙️

Robinsons Iloilo has always been a reliable chill spot, but Palpitate Coffee really takes the relaxation factor up a notch.

Here’s why it’s becoming a go-to for many Ilonggos:

• Beyond the Caffeine: While their Pistachio series and Oatside lattes are crowd favorites, they actually serve a full menu including pasta, pizza, sandwiches, and even fluffy pancakes. 🥞🍕
• Refreshing Picks: If you aren’t in the mood for coffee, their Bergamot Passion Tea is a total game-changer—super light and perfect for our tropical weather! 🍹
• The Vibe: It’s the kind of space designed for slow afternoon dates or a peaceful "reset" session amidst a busy day. ✨

Whether you're there to work, catch up, or just enjoy a solid meal, this spot definitely delivers.

Riverfront dining at its finest: Muelle Deli

If you’re looking for a spot that perfectly balances Iloilo’s heritage with a modern, artisanal touch, Muelle Deli in Lapuz is a must-visit.

The first thing you’ll notice is the vibe. It feels like a cozy European bistro right on the banks of the Iloilo River. Whether you're sitting inside or enjoying the breeze outdoors, the view is unmatched—especially when the golden hour hits the water. It turns a simple meal into a full-on experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Muelle Deli is famous for its artisanal breads and high-quality deli meats. Everything feels "crafted," not just cooked. 🍖🧀 Most dishes are easily shareable between two people, making that "premium" price tag actually great value for money.

It’s the perfect place for a slow brunch, a long lunch, or a sunset date where you can share a big plate and just enjoy the view.
