We often believe happiness will arrive someday once we have more, earn more, or achieve more—but the truth is that we can choose it today by living slower, softer, and more present, because the richest life isn’t about having everything but needing less, finding joy in calm mornings, genuine laughter, and the kind of peace money can’t buy, so stop waiting for “the right time” and choose to make your life peaceful, meaningful, and fully your own.

I feel heart broken today thinking back on my own moments, but also the moments of every mom who can relate.

Who cries after daycare drop offs because this is the only way.

Who stays with someone who isn’t good for her because that feels like the only way.

We survive. We are strong. But sometimes we don’t want to have to be strong all the time.

The true legacy we leave our children as parents is the foundation of values we instill. Teaching them to live with integrity, kindness, and purpose. And this is true, “The values they will pass on tomorrow
are the ones they experience from us today.” 🫶🏻

We often think our children’s future depends only on the money we save,
the schools we can afford,
or the careers we dream for them.

But more than wealth,
what truly secures their tomorrow is the kind of home we build today.

When children grow up in a house filled with tension,
no amount of inheritance can heal the wounds.
But when they grow up in a home filled with laughter, respect, and care,
they carry that strength for life.

The truth is—
we are not just raising kids,
we are raising future parents, future partners, future leaders.
And the values they will pass on tomorrow
are the ones they experience from us today.

Love them now.
Respect them now.
Guide them now.
Because the atmosphere we create in our home
is the greatest inheritance we can give.

To the "we didn't have to worry about you" daughter...

You were the "she will be fine". You were the "she'll figure it out." But you were also the "I wish someone would ask if I'm okay".

People see you as the strong one, the independent child, the daughter who always knows what to do. You were expected to not be a burden, to understand the situation, to do well.

But, sometimes, I know you feel you had the least care and attention. Who felt less appreciated and recognized. Who felt so lonely.

You deserve the same love and concern you so freely give. You deserve people who check in on you even when you seem strong.

But I want you to know this... you are seen by God. He knows how heavy it’s been. And one day, your loved ones will learn to see you differently too. Not just as the “strong” child, but as a longing daughter who wants to hear the words, "Ate...Anak...Bunso... proud kami sa'yo."
