Make good ripples, I used to tell my kids.

When they were very small I would demonstrate by asking them to stick their finger into a bowl of water and watch the ripples happen. Every action, every word, every choice (or vote)—it all travels outward.

Success I hope for them. Happiness, even more so. But what I really want is for them to be kind. With others. With themselves.
