After years of hoping and craving, Ilonggos may finally be getting what they've long wished for—a 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗞𝗙𝗖 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼. And surprisingly, it might not be in Iloilo City but in 𝗢𝘁𝗼𝗻, a fast-growing town just outside the metro.

A recent 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘆 𝗞𝗙𝗖 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 via Food Group Careers sparked excitement online, as it mentioned hiring for various Visayas locations—including 𝗢𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼. What caught people’s attention is that, unlike other branches typically listed inside malls, this one clearly specifies the location—similar to how KFC lists airport or standalone branches like Tacloban Airport.

While the post doesn’t confirm whether it’s a freestanding branch, the absence of any mention of a mall hints that this could indeed be Iloilo’s first-ever standalone KFC store. (Check the comment section for the job listing.)

𝗞𝗙𝗖 (𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻) has been a staple in the Philippines since the 1960s, known for its 11 secret herbs and spices and iconic chicken recipes. It currently operates under RAMCAR Group of Companies, and has expanded to hundreds of locations nationwide.

In Iloilo, KFC has had a modest presence, mainly through mall-based branches like those in 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼, 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼. However, despite its popularity, the absence of a standalone store has long been a noticeable gap—especially compared to other fast food chains with drive-thru options and larger dining spaces.

Now, with this new job listing, Ilonggos are keeping their fingers crossed that 𝗞𝗙𝗖 𝗢𝘁𝗼𝗻 will mark a new chapter—one that brings fried chicken lovers closer to a dedicated space just for them.
