One of the hardest things I had to accept this year was realizing that I didn’t mean as much to some people as they meant to me.

That truth hurts. It humbles you. It forces you to see things clearly. Not everyone loves the way you love. Not everyone shows up the way you do.

Sometimes people only value you when it benefits them. And when you stop overextending yourself, their true intentions become obvious.

But here’s what I’ve learned: the lesson isn’t the loss — it’s the clarity. You stop forcing connections. You stop overgiving. You start choosing people who genuinely choose you back.

And in the end, losing them wasn’t really a loss at all. It was making space for better.
