Iloilo City Police Office Ginkilala ang MORE Power Bilang Importante nga Community Partner sa ika 31 nga PCR Month

ILOILO CITY – Gintipon sang Iloilo City Police Office ang mga stakeholder, partner kag police personnel agud hatagan sang pagkilala kadungan sa pagtakup sang ika 31 nga PCR Month.

Nangin dinapit nga bisita si MORE Electric and Power Corporation President kag CEO Mr. Roel Z. Castro bilang speaker sa kahiwatan.

Sa mensahe ni Castro, iya ginkilala ang labing importante nga achievement sang PNP. Ini amu ang maayo nga kooperasyon sa tagsa ka stakeholder kag komunidad nga ila ginaserbisyohan nga nagresulta sa pagnubo sang index kag non-index crimes.

Sa record sang Iloilo City Police Office, yara sa 31% ang pagnubo sang index crimes kag 10% sa non-index crimes humalin sang tuig 2024 tubtob 2025.

“This may not happen if it is not because of the relationship that police officers have with their stakeholders. It is just fitting that the ceremony that we celebrated is the culmination of the Police Community Relations Month that really highlights the effectiveness of the programs that are still being implemented. And these are very effective,” suno kay Castro.

AI DATA CENTER PROPOSAL IN OTON WITHDRAWN; INVESTOR SENDS WITHDRAWAL LETTER AFTER THE LAST HEARING

NORWEGIAN INVESTOR 'WALKS OUT' OF A PUBLIC HEARING

'When you leave a place so sudden such as in a public consultation, for reasons that you are mad about the existing situation, then you must have probably abandoned the role and responsibility that you are supposed to fulfill. Worse, if you utter words out of desperation and anger'.

This happened at a public hearing held at Brgy Abilay, Oton, Iloilo for the proposal to put up a 50-megawatt AI Development and Learning Center by the Norwegian Investor, Daniel Stefan Robertsen.

This public hearing was supposedly and purposely organized to enlighten the people of Oton, who will be affected directly or indirectly by the said proposal. But something odd happened.

During the Question Hour, clarifications were set to be raised particularly the water and power requirements of the said AI Data Center which the Investor
expectedly, should explain in detail, such as the sources of these energy requirements.

But surprisingly and quite irregular to happen in a public hearing, is that after the first question asked with regards to the water source of the project requirements by Atty. Annie Rose D. Paro, a member of the Sangguiang Bayan of Oton, the Norwegian Investor decided to walk out in a passive anger and left those who attended the consultation hanging and in bad mood.

Robertsen told SB Paro that there is already a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) when the latter asked about the possible water source to be used by the AI Data Center. That was followed by the next question as to where will the wastewater go. The answer was there will be no wastewater as it will be used again after a recycling system. There was another follow up question. And that was the time when the Norwegian got mad, confronted SB Paro and began to step leaving the venue.

The program was continued with the then Ileco 1 representative explaining the situation, current power supply running to the grid, the reason for the frequent alerts and what will happen when this center is put up getting a big bulk of the power supply.

The hearing closed with the Barangay Captain of Abilay Sur saying that because of what happened they will be sponsoring a resolution which will interpose objections to the said project proposal.

COMELEC VI Regional Director Dennis Ausan is not atone to the move of some lawmakers in Congress towards the possible postponement of the Barangay and Sangguiang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) set November 2 of this year. The preparations which included voters registration, printing of ballots, the Selection of the Board of Canvassers, purchase of other necessary items have already been done by the
Election Officers and everyone involved is on 'Election Mode'. Further, age limits for SK would be impracticable and violated would be violated since they will stay in position for another two years or more.
