NGCP, NAG AYO SANG 12 KA ORAS NGA POWER INTERRUPTION SA 3 KA MGA SUBSTATIONS SANG MORE POWER SA MAYO 31, 2026

Nagpangabay ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) sang 12 ka oras nga Scheduled Power Interruption sa franchise area sang MORE Power para sa patigayunon nila nga uprating works may kaangtanan para sa energization sang ikatatlo nga 100 MVA power transformer nga kabahin man sang ila pagpasangkad sang Iloilo Substation sa May 31, 2026, Dominggo nga adlaw.

Kabahin man sa ila aktibidad nga patigayunon ang pag-shutdown sang isa ka 100MVA Power Transformer kun sa diin isa na lang ang temporaryo nga maga-serbe sa Iloilo City. Sa sini nga sitwasyon, limitado ang kapasidad sang NGCP kag may posibilidad ang pagpatuman sang Manual Load Dropping agud indi ma-overload ang Power Transformer.

Nahibaluan nga apektado dire ang mga konsumidor sang Mandurriao Substation, Megaworld Substation, kag Jaro Substation.

Ginapasiguro sang NGCP nga gilayon nga ibalik ang supply sang kuryente pagkatapos ang mga scheduled works.

Kadungan sini, magapatigayon man ang MORE Power sang ride-on activities.

58 MAYORS BLAST BATO DELA ROSA OVER 7-MONTH ABSENCE FROM SENATE

NEWS ALERT: A group of 58 mayors from across the Philippines issued a statement on Monday, May 25, calling out Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa for collecting an estimated P2.1 million in salary during the seven months he was absent from the Senate before resurfacing on May 11 to vote in the leadership change that installed Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate President.

The Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG) said dela Rosa received approximately P300,000 a month during his absence, and that while the "no work, no pay" principle applies to millions of ordinary Filipino workers, the same standard is apparently not being applied to a powerful elected official.

"Kung ginawa ito ng ordinaryong empleyado, sa gobyerno man o sa pribadong sektor, siguradong papatawan siya ng suspensiyon o pagtanggal sa trabaho. Bakit tila iba ang batas kapag makapangyarihang opisyal ang sangkot?" the statement read.

The group said that such betrayal and negligence is unacceptable for someone being paid by the public—especially as ordinary Filipinos face hardship, rising prices, and a livelihood crisis.

It added the incident is a direct insult to millions of Filipinos who struggle daily to make ends meet for themselves and their families.

"Malaking insulto ito para sa milyon-milyong Pilipino na nagsisikap at nagtitiis upang maitawid ang kanilang mga sarili at kanilang mga pamilya. Nananawagan kami sa ating mga senador: ang Senado ay hindi dapat maging kanlungan ng absenteeism at pagtatakipan," the statement read.

The mayors stressed that elected officials must be the first to follow the law—not the last—saying legislation exists for accountability, integrity, and the welfare of the Filipino people.

The statement was signed by 58 mayors as of 10:00 AM on May 25, 2026, including Baguio City Mayor Benjie Magalong, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, and Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula, among others from across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
