𝗠𝗚𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗡 | Ipinakita ng mga magulang ng Guimbal National High School ang kanilang suporta at pakikiisa sa paaralan sa pamamagitan ng pagdalo sa 1st General PTA Assembly na ginanap nitong Huwebes ng hapon, Hunyo 11, sa Mega Gymnasium.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | GNHS Holds General PTA Meeting for S.Y. 2026–2027

Guimbal National High School (GNHS) conducted its first General Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting for School Year 2026–2027 on June 11, 2026, at the Mega Gymnasium, bringing together parents, teachers, and school officials for the orientation and discussions of school-related matters.

The program opened with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by a prayer, municipal hymn, and GNHS March, all presented through audio-visual materials.

Attendance was checked by Mrs. Marisol G. Mamon, Head Teacher Designate of the MAPEH Department, followed by the words of welcome delivered by Miss Anna Lee Gayanilo, Head Teacher IV of the Mathematics Department.

Prior to the orientation proper, members of the school’s Executive Committee were introduced. Each member also presented the teachers under their respective departments.

The orientation was led by Dr. Zaldy M. Tondo, School Principal III of GNHS, who presented and discussed matters concerning the school community for the new academic year.

The meeting concluded with the closing message delivered by Mr. Dennis N. Sabido.

𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 | Earthquakes can happen anytime; thus, it is important to be prepared. During an earthquake, stay calm, avoid panicking, and remember to 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽, 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿, and 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗢𝗻. Stay away from windows, cabinets, and other heavy objects that may fall.

After the shaking stops, carefully evacuate to a safe open area, check yourself and others for injuries, and remain vigilant for possible aftershocks.

Safety begins with awareness—𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

As a new academic year arrives, The Highlights - Ang Maguayan 2025-2026 extends its deepest gratitude to all who have been part of this journey. Through every trial endured and every milestone attained, your trust, support, and belief in our mission stood as the quiet force behind our pursuit of responsible and meaningful journalism. What we have achieved was never the effort of a few, but the work of a community united by a steadfast commitment to truth, excellence, and service.

To our readers, mentors, and partners, thank you for standing with us in every season and for allowing our work to reach beyond the page—to inform, to inspire, and to endure. Your encouragement challenged us to raise our standards, refine our craft, and remain unwavering in our duty to produce journalism that bears weight and purpose.

As we turn the page, we remain resolute in our mission: to amplify voices that must be heard, to bring to light stories that must be told, and to uphold truth with courage, integrity, and compassion. Throughout the School Year 2025-2026, The Highlights - Ang Maguayan served as both chronicler and witness to campus life, faithfully documenting the sustained progression of academic and co-curricular experiences shaped by learning, service, and shared engagement.

𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔 | Guimbal NHS, Masiglang Binuksan ang S.Y. 2026–2027

Isinulat ni Kean Joshua Santiago

Pormal na sinimulan ng Guimbal National High School ang taong panuruan 2026–2027 sa pamamagitan ng pagsasagawa ng unang flag ceremony na ginanap sa Megagym nitong Lunes, Hunyo 8.

Nagsimula ang programa sa assembly at formation ng mga g**o, mag-aaral, at kawani ng paaralan.

Binigyang-diin din sa programa ang pagpapakita ng pagmamahal sa bayan sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang panunumpa.

Isa sa tampok ng programa ang mensahe ni School Principal III, Dr. Zaldy M. Tondo na humikayat sa mga mag-aaral na pairalin ang disiplina, kasipagan, at determinasyon sa kanilang pag-aaral ngayong taong panuruan.

“First of all, we have our Brigada Eskwela pero I know we still have to prepare our school, prior to that we still have to teachers for all learning reforms or learning system reforms of the DepEd: we oriented our teachers on the three-term calendar, changes in the lesson planning. Also the changes on the classroom assessment and grading system, as well with the awards of recognition and the Strengthen Senior High School. We also have the new policy of the DepEd — declaring the suspension of classes and how education continues of classes during emergencies,” giit pa niya.

Dagdag pa niya, “We will intensify our advocacies and our information dissemination with our students through the general orientation this week for the opening block.”

Nagbigay rin ng mensahe ng suporta si G. Rodolfo J. Talisay Jr., pangulo ng SPTA para sa buong komunidad ng paaralan.

Samantala, ibinahagi ni Assistant School Principal II Senior High School Department, Sir Alex N. Suerte ang mga paalala at anunsyo upang matiyak ang maayos at organisadong pagbubukas ng klase.

Bilang pagtatapos ng programa, nakiisa ang mga mag-aaral at g**o sa wellness exercise at unity dance na pinangunahan ni G. Andre Dane Damgo upang maisulong ang pagkakaisa, kalusugan, at sigla sa pagsisimula ng panibagong taon ng pagkatuto.

Ang matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng unang flag ceremony ay naging hudyat ng masigla at makabuluhang pagsisimula ng School Year 2026–2027 para sa buong komunidad ng Guimbal NHS.
