🩷 When I Had No Choice
I was only 19–20 when life changed completely.
At that age, you’re still figuring yourself out… still learning who you are, what you want, what life even means. But for me, there was no time for that.
Because suddenly, I wasn’t just a young woman anymore.
I was a mother.
And with that came responsibilities I wasn’t fully prepared for but I had no choice but to face them.
I didn’t have the luxury to slowly grow into the role.
I didn’t have the space to be unsure.
Life didn’t wait for me to be ready.
It just happened.
And from that moment on, everything shifted.
My decisions were no longer just about me.
My needs came second.
My life became about survival for my child, for my family.
People often think strength is something you choose.
But sometimes, it isn’t.
Sometimes, strength is something life forces on you…
when there’s no other option left.
And that was the beginning of mine.
