"1 Corinthians 16:14 reminds us that love should be the foundation of all we do. Whether big or small, our actions can be a reflection of God's love. May we strive to show kindness, compassion, and understanding to others, just as Jesus demonstrated. By doing everything in love, we bring light and joy to those around us."

Prayer:
"Dear Lord, help me to live a life driven by love. May my words, actions, and decisions reflect Your love and kindness. Give me the strength to show compassion and understanding to others, even in difficult situations. In Jesus' name, Amen."

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, we kneel before you in worship, praise, and thanksgiving for the infinite love that you have shown to us sinners through your humble Incarnation, bitter Passion, and cruel death on the Cross. By your wounds, we are healed. By your death, we are restored to life. Forgive us for not having returned love for your love.

O Saint Pedro Calungsod, exalted son of the Visayas, we call upon you who now enjoy that heavenly glory which you merited for following our Lord Jesus Christ along the way of the Cross. God has given you to us, as a model of a true Christian; as a companion on our pilgrim way to the heavenly Kingdom; and as a helper in the midst of our difficulties. Make our troubles and good intentions your own and intercede for us before the Throne of Mercy and Grace, so that like you, we may also become fellow citizens among the saints there in Heaven. Amen.

Knowing the Faith

O Saint Pedro Calungsod, your faith in God grew stronger as you diligently tried to know the truths of our Catholic Faith. Guide and protect your pilgrim Church on earth. Grant your peace to our nation and to the whole world. Fill all our families with your grace. Preserve us in love and unity. Bless and guide our young people so that they will not be led astray.

START OF THE 9-DAY NOVENA IN HONOR OF SAN PEDRO CALUNGSOD

As we begin the 9-day journey of prayer and reflection in honor of our beloved young martyr, San Pedro Calungsod, we open our hearts to God’s grace and mercy. These days of novena invite us to walk closely with Pedro — a young catechist, missionary, and faithful servant who offered his life for the love of Christ and the Church.

May this novena strengthen our faith and remind us of the beauty of serving God with joy and courage. In every prayer and intention we lift up, may we learn to imitate the humility, perseverance, and unwavering faith of San Pedro Calungsod.

Let us ask his intercession for our families, our community, and for all who continue to share God’s word despite trials and hardships. May his example inspire us to live out our faith with love, sacrifice, and compassion.

"Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God's Word is our guide and source of wisdom. In times of uncertainty and darkness, Scripture illuminates our path and directs our steps. As we immerse ourselves in God's Word, we gain clarity, wisdom, and direction for our lives. May we cherish and obey God's Word, trusting in His guidance and provision."
