This costume vividly portrays the grandeur of Candijay history. During the spanish times, you can own a land, as long as you can cultivate it. DIJAY, was such a hardworking man that he was able to cultivate "_as far as the eyes can see_". When people ask, โ€œWhose progressive land this is?โ€ People would proudly say, "Kang Dijay" (Itโ€™s Dijayโ€™s).

And of course, his wife was always there beside him. She was famous by her moniker โ€œINDAYโ€ โ€” The Wife of Dijay.

The intricately designed suit with the golden sword and shield symbolize the coupleโ€™s unparalleled character, courage, generosity and guidance during their existence.

This masterpiece is an homage to both the manhood and the natural wealth of the town, bringing history and artistry in a majestic representation of Candijaynon identity.
