Today, we join the entire Kabankalan City in celebrating the life of a remarkable leader, a steadfast public servant, and a true son of our beloved hometown — SPM Rey Cordero.

For years, SPM Rey has exemplified what it means to serve with heart, humility, and integrity. As an outgoing City Councilor, his unwavering dedication to the welfare of every Kabankalanon has left an indelible mark on our city’s progress and unity. From championing community projects to standing beside our people in times of need, SPM Rey has been a pillar of strength and a voice for the common good.

On this special day, we honor not only his accomplishments but also the spirit of service that continues to inspire us all. May God bless you, SPM Rey, with good health, abundant joy, and renewed strength as you embark on new chapters of service and purpose. Your legacy of compassion and leadership will forever live in the hearts of Kabankalanons.

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

My dear fellow Kabankalanons,

With a heart full of gratitude and humility, I want to personally thank each and every one of you who stood with me throughout this meaningful election journey. Though the result was not what we had hoped for, the experience of walking beside you — listening to your stories, hearing your hopes, and witnessing your unwavering support — has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

For the past nine years, you entrusted me with the privilege of serving as your Councilor, representing the people of Kabankalan with sincerity and dedication. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity you gave me to be your voice and champion within our local government. Those years taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, compassion, and the strength of our community.

As this chapter closes, my commitment to Kabankalan remains as strong as ever. To my family, our volunteers, friends, supporters, and every voter who placed their trust in me — thank you. Your faith and sacrifices throughout the campaign will never be forgotten.

While we did not succeed in claiming the Vice Mayoral seat, we succeeded in something far greater: in building bridges, in awakening conversations, and in reaffirming our shared dream for a better Kabankalan. This is not an end — but a new beginning.

Let us move forward with unity, hope, and resilience. I call upon everyone, regardless of political colors, to come together and support those now given the mandate to lead our city. Kabankalan deserves leaders who serve not for themselves, but for the people.

And as for me — I remain your brother, your neighbor, and your servant. I will continue to find ways to contribute, to uplift lives, and to help build the future we all aspire for. Together, let’s keep moving forward.

🌾 𝗦𝗜 𝗥𝗘𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗞𝗨𝗦𝗢𝗚, 𝗞𝗔𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠, 𝗞𝗔𝗚 𝗘𝗞𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗬𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗦𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡! 🌾

Sa likod sang kada ordinansa nga nagabulig sa tricycle drivers, nagaprotektar sa aton palibot, kag nagahatag sang oportunidad sa kabataan kag komunidad — may isa ka lider nga pirmi nagauna, may halong, kag may tinutuyo para sa tanan.

📚 Graduate sang Electrical Engineering. Nakatapos sang Abogasya. Doktor sang Public Service. Isa ka amay sang barangay kag haligi sang konseho nga may madinalag-on nga track record.

🌱 Sa iya pangabudlay, nakita naton ang tinutuyo nga malab-ot ang progreso nga patas para sa tanan. Sa kabataan, mga laborers, tricycle drivers, kababaihan, kag kabataan sang barangay — pirmi niya ginapanumdum nga “Ang lider nga may handum, dapat may tagipusuon kag kaalam.”

🛤️ Paagi kay Rey Cordero, Kabankalan magapadayon sa dalan sang pag-uswag, matinlo nga gobyerno, kag serbisyo nga wala pili, serbisyo nga para gid sa tawo.

🤝 Kabankalanon, ini na ang tion! Sa Mayo 12, 2025 — iboto naton ang lider nga may serbisyo, may maathag nga plano, kag halin mismo sa aton komunidad.

Halin sa barangay tubtob sa siyudad, si 𝗥𝗲𝘆 𝗚. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗼 ang nagapanguna sa paghatag sang matinlo nga serbisyo, patas nga liderato, kag mahanungod nga pagbulig sa komunidad. Sa iya pagserbisyo, wala siya nagapili — bata man ukon tigulang, barangay ukon sentro, ginapamatian kag ginabuligan.

Bilang Punong Barangay kag City Councilor, nadala niya ang mga programa nga nagpauswag sa barangay kag siyudad. Isa siya sa mga konsistent nga ginanominar sa Most Outstanding Local Legislator Award — pamatood sang iya pagpalangga sa katawhan kag matinlo nga serbisyo.

Subong, handa siya magserbisyo bilang Vice Mayor sang aton pinalangga nga Kabankalan! 🤍
