Exploring Upper & Lower Whitegoat Falls, AlbertaWhitegoat Falls is a short but rewarding hike located along the David Thompson Highway near Cline River, Alberta. The trail is about 2.6 km round-trip with a moderate climb and a bit of scrambling, making it a great half-day adventure. The hike starts in the forest and follows a lightly marked path—watch for orange tape and small rock cairns to stay on track. After about 1 km, you’ll come to the canyon. From here, it’s a steep but manageable scramble down to the creek. You’ll cross a few logs and slippery sections, so sturdy footwear is important. At the bottom, the lower falls are the main attraction: a beautiful two-tier waterfall pouring into a quiet canyon. If you’re up for more, a short scramble along the right side leads to the upper falls, a smaller but still scenic drop. This trail is best from May to October, and since it's in bear country, bring bear spray and stay alert. It’s a quiet, peaceful hike with just enough challenge to feel like an adventure, without taking up your whole day. After we hiked the Thompson Creek Falls went straight here even if we are tired go go go!

Kdays 2k25 with you guys ❤️

We went to K-Days 2025 mainly for the rides for our daughter and, of course, the food. She had the best time jumping from ride to ride, and seeing her smile made it all worth it. As for us, we kept it simple, turkey legs, giant squid, waffles, and cotton candy. It was a long day, but it was a fun one. Just good food, happy moments, and a lot of memories made.

After the journey through winding trails and the rustling embrace of nature, we finally arrived at Thompson Falls — a sight so majestic it instantly made every step worth it. As the roar of the waterfall grew louder, we were greeted by a view that felt almost surreal. The cascading water plunged into the gorge below with a force both powerful and peaceful, as mist drifted up to meet the sunlight. We found a quiet spot near the edge, just close enough to hear the full rush of the water but far enough to feel safely tucked into nature's arms. It was time to pause. To breathe. To let the moment settle in. We sat down, pulled out our snacks, took a few sips of water, and let the world slow down around us. There’s something deeply grounding about enjoying something as simple as a snack while surrounded by such grand beauty. The crunch of biscuits, the cool taste of water, the fresh breeze against our faces — it was all part of the experience. No rush, no noise, no distractions. Just us, the falls, and the moment. In our busy lives, we often forget to stop and take in where we are. But places like Thomson Falls have a way of reminding you. They don’t just offer a view — they offer stillness, clarity, and awe. As we sat there, watching the endless flow of water, we felt recharged, reminded that nature doesn’t ask for much — just that you notice it. And in that peaceful pause, we did.
