TINGNAN: Sinabayan ng protesta ng mga progresibong grupo ang En Banc session ng Supreme Court ngayong umaga, Agosto 12.

Nagtipon sa harap ng Korte Suprema ang grupong BAYAN, anti-corruption network na TAMA NA, at iba pang organisasyon para itulak ang korte na i-reverse ang desisyon nito sa impeachment laban kay VP Sara Duterte.

"Bulag ba sila? Nagbubulag-bulagan sila at pinapaikot nila tayo, ang sambayanang Pilipino." sabi ni Mong Palatino ng BAYAN.

Ayon pa sa kanya, hindi dapat protektahan ng korte ang mga nagnanakaw sa pera ng taumbayan. "Ang tanong ng mamamayan: Bakit napakahirap na panagutin ang mga kurakot sa ating bayan? Bakit napakahirap humanap ng pananagutan sa ating bayan?," dagdag niya.

House lawmakers from ACT Teachers Party-list and Kabataan Party-list have filed resolutions urging the House Committee on Human Rights to investigate the June 14, 2023 killing of the Fausto family in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental and other reported International Humanitarian Law (IHL) violations in the island.

The resolutions seek a probe into the deaths of sugar workers Roly and Emelda Fausto and their children Ben, 14, and Ravin, 11, whose killings human rights groups and witnesses allege were carried out by soldiers of the Philippine Army’s 94th Infantry Battalion.
