With the tireless leadership of the Municipal Journalism coordinator of La Paz ,Sir Ramel B. Labalan,The One Day Scriptwriting on Radio Broadcasting with the Agusan del Sur’s NSPC Champion Mentor Mr.Kerwin Membrado has become truly real and successful today at Dona Adela Central Elementary School.

Present, were the different RB teams of La Paz Central Elem. School,La Paz National High School & Panagangan National High School and their coaches.

The Technical working groups were spearheaded by the VOL Officers : Phoebe Aying ,VOL President , Judilyn Malinao,Vice President & Jude Michael Casamayor ,VOL secretary.

This is in preparation for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference on group contest thai october.

With the tireless leadership of our Public Schools District in Charge Maam Glyna A. Moscosa and Municipal Journalism Coordinator Ramel Bruno Labalan ,the Principal of Sagunto Elementary School
together with the dedicated mentors School Paper Advisers of the different primary and secondary schools of La Paz District —Team Usbaw LaPaz Journalism concluded their three-day battle triumphantly during the conduct of the DIVISION SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE last September 9-11 ,2026 at BUNAWAN NHS ,Bunawan Agusan del Sur.

𝐔𝐒𝐁𝐀𝐖 𝐋𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐙 | 𝐌𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Highlights

This year’s armageddon of pens in the field of campus Journalism sets anew for the Municipality of La Paz as it records increased attendees compared to the past years of Municipal PressCon Tilt.

Joined by the different schools in La Paz both High Schools ,Elementary and integrated schools —-the podium finish has not been easy to reckon with.

Sir Ramel Labalan,Principal I,Municipal Journalism coordinator ,encouraged ‘barrio schools’ in far flung areas to participate and let the students experience how their talents are being sharpened especially in reporting ,writing and capturing stories.

Meanwhile,judges for writing events were the seasoned SPAs of DepEd Agusan del Sur Cesar Navales ,Ardelyn Glodobe,Douglas Baylon & Chelo Dagcuta who also became the plenary speakers.

This gives some teachers and principals free discussion on how to write different writing events in campus journalism.

To add, there are number of participants who showed willingness to make their skills honed and promised to transfer their learnings to their students and pupils.

After the series of competition as well ,the awarding took stage on the second day of the press-con ,September 3.

This year’s results of MSPC became monumental since only top 2 will qualify to the DSPC 2026 in Bunawan ,Agusan del Sur.

While most number of qualifiers are from central schools the inclusion of some students from small schools is a proof of ‘Beating the odds ‘ Sir Ramel emphasized.

In the end ,the qualifiers that will compose Municipality of La Paz will be gearing more for the upcoming DSPC 2026 on September 9-11,2026.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

Tintang Sagwan, the Filipino School Paper of Sagunto Elementary School rows its way to the top, weathering several giant competitors in the Regional Schools Press Conference School Paper Contest today at Saint Michael College of Caraga Quadrangle. Present during the awarding were Ma'am Vedalyn Plana, Ma'am Joan Bitalas, Dygilyn Bada, & Rosalia Bentoso, the School Paper Advisers and the school Principal, Sir Ramel B. Labalan.

This pave way for the Tintang Sagwan to be part of the National Schools Press Conference School Paper Contest 2026 at Ormoc, Leyte.
