Just a little story behind our Mango Sticky Rice.

The recipe I use comes from my husband's Thai friend, who sold desserts in Thailand for 15 years. After the recent earthquake, he had to stop his dessert business and return to his original profession as a civil engineer to help renovate and restore affected buildings.

Before stepping away from the business, he shared his personal Mango Sticky Rice recipe with my husband, saying that since he would no longer be selling it, this way we could still enjoy the taste of it.

Every time my husband traveled to Thailand, he would always bring home Mango Sticky Rice from his friend as pasalubong. Now, through this recipe, we get to share a little piece of that story and that authentic Thai flavor with others.

Ps. I do not claim na authentic Thai mango sticky rice ito because of course, magkaiba ang glutinous rice and mango natin but from I tasted, hindi naman magkalayo.😊🤤

Just a while ago, I raised my voice after EN kept biting me while I was putting him to sleep. He was so scared and moment he let out that loud cry, I immediately regretted raising my voice. 😭

But a few minutes later, he was smiling and reaching for me again like nothing happened.

Our babies give us so much grace. They forgive quickly, love freely, and remind us that God's mercies are new every day.

Motherhood is humbling. I'm grateful that even when I fall short, my little boy still chooses me. 🤍🥹
