The call for submission (9th edition) is now open to all works by people who have ties to the Bangsamoro.
We accept works in Filipino, English, hybrid languages and any of the languages used in BARMM territories—Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, and Tawi-Tawi, as well as Sulu. If works are in regional languages, please include a Filipino or English translation.
BLR pays a token fee for accepted works (short stories, poems, essays, comics, drawings, photographs, illustrations, literary translations, and hybrid narratives).
There is no specific theme for this issue. Writers are free to explore any subject in their work/s.
Submissions must be poems (maximum of 5), essays or stories with a minimum of 800 words. They should be in Microsoft Word document, single-spaced, 12 points. Works in PDF will not be read by the editors.
In the body of the email, please write a short bio note to introduce yourself. If there is an accompanying images or visuals to your piece, please attach them.
