𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐀𝐰𝐞𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐈𝐈𝐓

𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — The first Sunday of the 2026 Bar Examinations has officially commenced at the Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology, as aspiring lawyers once again take on one of the most significant milestones in their legal journey.

After months, and for many, years of rigorous preparation, Bar takers arrived at the testing center with determination and hope as they faced the day that would begin their journey toward getting that dot.

The atmosphere at MSU-IIT was marked by a mixture of anticipation, nervousness, and encouragement, as families, friends, law schools, and members of the legal community gathered to extend their support to the examinees. The 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 were present to support the aspiring lawyers of Mindanao State University, joined by student volunteers who also offered their assistance and encouragement throughout the day.

Early that morning, the OIC Dean of the Mindanao State University College of Law, 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗕. 𝗖𝗮ñ𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀-𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼, was also at the testing center to personally show her support to all Bar takers.

As the first Sunday of the 2026 Bar Examinations unfolds, the journey continues for every examinee, with hopes of making this chapter as awesome as the hashtag that captures this year’s Bar Examinations: .

The celebration brought together students, faculty, staff, and members of the university community in a day filled with camaraderie, festivities, and appreciation of MSU’s 65 years of service and excellence.

𝘼 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

In the afternoon, the College of Law's College Program formally opened with an invocation, followed by a Welcome Address delivered by Mr. Mabandes P. Diron II, LSG President.

The program then proceeded to a Message from the Dean by Atty. Annabelle B. Cañazares-Mindalano, OIC-Dean of the MSU College of Law, who shared a message with the law students, faculty, and staff as part of the university’s milestone celebration.

Adding energy and excitement to the gathering were a series of fun and interactive activities, including trivia questions and singing contest participated in by students from different year levels. The activities provided an opportunity for law students to take a break from their usual academic routines and celebrate together as one College of Law community.

Winners of the various activities received cash prizes, while participants were also given consolation prizes in recognition of their participation and enthusiasm.

The program concluded with Closing Remarks delivered by Pros. Nadjer D. Pinatara, Adviser of the Law Student Government (LSG).

𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙤-𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙤 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙖𝙬

Beyond the formal program, the College of Law transformed its grounds into a space for salo-salo, socialization, and fellowship.

Law students enjoyed a variety of treats and activities prepared for the occasion, including a photobooth, free ice cream, free iced coffee, a buffet area, and an assortment of desserts.

The celebration also welcomed students from different colleges of MSU, who visited the College of Law and joined the fellowship and shared meals, further strengthening the spirit of unity and community across the university.

The Office of the Dean likewise served food for the faculty, staff, and students, contributing to the warm and festive atmosphere of the celebration.

The 65th Founding Anniversary celebration served not only as a commemoration of MSU’s history and achievements but also as an opportunity for the College of Law community to come together, build stronger bonds, and celebrate the university’s continuing journey toward kultura, kahusayan, at kaunlaran.

From the parade grounds to the College of Law’s salo-salo, the celebration reflected the spirit of an MSU community united in its 65-year legacy and its vision of an inclusive university.

Following the parade, students and members of the College of Law gathered at the University Oval grounds for the formal opening of the MSU's 65th Founding Anniversary with different colleges, external units, and other MSU delegates from all over Mindanao.
