Happy Anniversary to one of my favorite PlayStation games of all time ❤️🎮

On July 7, 2000, Final Fantasy IX was released in Japan, giving us unforgettable characters, an emotional story, beautiful music and one of the greatest JRPG adventures ever made. For me, this is one of the best Final Fantasy games ever 🥹

Is physical really forever? 🤔

Many gamers think discs last forever but disc rot is real 😱

💿 CD era: TurboGrafx-CD/PC Engine CD, Sega CD, 3DO, PS1, Sega Saturn & Dreamcast (GD-ROM) Highest risk.
📀 DVD era: PS2, GameCube, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii & Wii U more durable but can delaminate.
🔵 Blu-ray era: PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One & Series X toughest discs yet, but not indestructible.

No format lasts forever. The better you store your collection, the longer it survives ❤️🎮

Want your collection to last?

✅ Store games in a cool, dry room.
✅ Keep them upright in their original cases.
✅ Avoid humidity, heat, and direct sunlight.
✅ Check older discs with a flashlight for tiny pinholes or cloudy edges.

So here's the big question... 👀

Is physical still the best way to own games, even knowing disc rot exists? Or is digital the future? 👇
