Nagkainitan sina Prosecution Counsel Atty. Jay Tolosa at Lead Defense Counsel Atty. Shiela Sison sa gitna ng direct examination sa testigong si Atty. Michael Poa sa impeachment trial ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte ngayong Miyerkules, Sept. 2.

Kasunod ito ng tanong ni Atty. Tolosa kay Atty. Poa kaugnay sa payment of reward sa mga informant.

"I have to clarify, wala talaga akong personal knowledge sa operations mismo ng DepEd... Hindi naman lahat ng information na nabili mo obviously will lead to success," paliwanag naman ni Atty. Poa.

HUNDREDS DEAD AND MISSING IN DEVASTATING FLOOD ON NEPAL-TIBET BORDER

A huge wall of mud and rock collapsed into a river on the Himalayan border of Nepal and China's Tibet on Wednesday, triggering catastrophic flooding on the Nepali side that left hundreds dead and missing.

In a still-unfolding disaster, verified videos showed dozens of people swept away at the border, with authorities on both sides fearing far higher casualties and massive destruction.

THREE’S A CROWD 🌀

PAGASA is now monitoring three weather disturbances again around the Philippine area of responsibility, Saturday afternoon.

The remnant low pressure area of re-developed into a tropical depression, with international name Gaenari.

At 3 p.m., Gaenari was located 660 km north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, outside the PAR.

It is not expected to re-enter the PAR, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, the LPA east of Mindanao also developed into a tropical depression Saturday morning.

It was located 1,055 km east of Eastern Visayas at 3 p.m.

A brief PAR entry is not ruled out as the depression will eventually move northeastward due to interaction with the stronger Typhoon Saudel.

It will be assigned the local name when it enters the PAR.

Saudel has crossed Northern Mariana Islands, now packing winds of 150 kph with gusts up to 185 kph.

It was located more than 2,500 km east of Northern Luzon Saturday afternoon.

Saudel may intensify further before entering the northeastern corner of the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday. It will be assigned the name .

The typhoon will remain far from the country but will enhance the southwest monsoon or Habagat towards next weekend. | via Ariel Rojas, ABS-CBN News
