๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | The Michaelian community gathered today, September 8, 2026, at the SMAP Hindang Church for the Holy Mass celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The celebration brought together students and employees from the College and High School departments in prayer and thanksgiving as we honor the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | An academic meeting was conducted on August 27, 2026 at the Presidentโ€™s Office. The meeting was attended by the different committee chairpersons, SSC President and Vice President with their adviser, the High School Principal, the college deans and the sports coordinators.

The meeting tackled the upcoming 78th SMC Intramurals and Founding Day Celebration, the proposed budget, the identities and concepts of the different factions and the main theme for this yearโ€™s celebration.

The ceremony recognized the studentsโ€™ progress and dedication as they prepare to take on the responsibilities of future educators. It also served as a reminder of the commitment and purpose that come with choosing a career in education.

Through moments of reflection, prayer, and fellowship, the gathering provided the future entrepreneurs and business professionals an opportunity to pause and appreciate their college journey, celebrate the lessons they have learned, and prepare themselves for the responsibilities and opportunities that lie ahead.

The activity provided an opportunity for the future educators to reflect on their academic journey, strengthen their faith, and prepare themselves spiritually, emotionally, and mentally as they approach a new chapter beyond college life.

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: St. Michael College of Hindang, Leyte, Inc. officially started the release of UNIFAST/TES grants for Batch 10, 12, 13, 13.1, and 13.2 grantees today, May 21, 2026, at the Accounting Office.

Qualified grantees proceeded with the verification of requirements and processing for the release of their financial assistance grant.

The release process is still ongoing until May 27, 2026, from 9:00 AMโ€“12:00 NN and 1:00 PMโ€“5:00 PM.

Graduating college students participated in the CAREER READY: Thriving in Work and Life orientation held today, May 19, 2026, at the School Gymnasium with the theme, โ€œFrom Classroom to Career: Building Competence, Confidence, and Well-being in the World of Work.โ€

The program formally opened with a welcome message from Dr. Benjamin P. Daleon, EdD, Dean of the Education Department.

One of the highlights of the morning session was the Labor Education and Employment Orientation conducted by Mary Jane B. Abenoja from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), where graduating students learned about workersโ€™ rights, employment opportunities, and workplace readiness.

In the afternoon session, School Registered Nurse Salve Marie A. Mariablanca discussed Mental Health Awareness, emphasizing the importance of maintaining mental well-being while preparing for work and life after college.

The event concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Dr. Maria Hazel Belleza, PhD, Dean of the Business Department, encouraging students to become prepared, confident, and responsible future professionals.
