MACTAN-CEBU AIRPORT NAMED ONE OF WORLD’S MOST IMPROVED IN 2025

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) continues to soar globally, earning a spot in Skytrax’s Top 10 Most Improved Airports for 2025. The recognition places MCIA 7th in the world, highlighting recent upgrades including a larger terminal, faster baggage systems, improved transport access, and new retail spaces featuring proudly Filipino products.

According to MCIA, “Every upgrade we’ve done brings us closer to our vision of becoming the Philippines’ top transfer and transit hub. This one’s for Cebu, and for every traveler who believes in better.”

The Skytrax World Airport Awards, often called the “Oscars of Airports,” is one of the most trusted benchmarks in the aviation industry, with over 500 airports evaluated worldwide.

Earlier this year, MCIA also won Best Airport in Asia Pacific (under 5 million passengers) from Airports Council International — further proof of its rising global status.
