Client: I want to start with 10 hours only because I'm not sure yet if we'll work well together.

Meanwhile,
Me: Started working directly on the tasks assigned in Asana without training and Creating 2 Email Marketing Copy in an hour.

Then I informed that I will continue tomorrow since I only have 10 hours alloted for the whole week.

Client: Updated the Contract. You don't need to limit yourself. Do everything that needs to be done. ☺

I want to share something that happened recently.

A client invited me to apply for his job post on Upwork. I submitted my proposal, answered all the technical and situational questions, and made sure I followed every instruction.

He replied saying my application was “too polished” and sounded like AI.

For a second, I could’ve ignored it. It even felt a bit sarcastic. But instead of skipping it, I responded and explained myself.

I’ve been a VA for almost 10 years. I’ve submitted countless proposals. I didn’t use any platform to polish that response. It came from experience. From years of working with clients. From mentors I’ve learned from. From real situations I’ve handled.

Being structured doesn’t mean it’s AI. Being clear doesn’t mean it’s fake. Sometimes it simply means you’ve mastered your craft.
And guess what? He replied again. I caught his attention.

Lesson for aspiring VAs: Do not get tired of sending proposals. Do your research. Keep learning. Improve your communication. And never dim your skills just to sound “less polished.”

Growth will always show. And the right clients will recognize it.

that she could not afford to fall—
because she was the safety net.
So she became the backup.
The plan.
The provider.
The quiet warrior in motion.

And still,
somewhere between the chaos and the clock,
she chooses love.
She chooses growth.
She chooses to bloom.
Not because it’s easy—
but because she decided
her strength would be beautiful.

Some mornings, my desk isn’t Pinterest-perfect.
Things are scattered. Coffee cup still there. Laptop open from last night.
And you know what?

Sometimes, we just can’t clean anymore.
No deep reason. No dramatic “why.”
We’re just tired.
And that’s okay.

Not every day has to start organized.
Not every morning has to be productive.
Some days, we’re allowed to skip the reset.

Rest is not laziness.
Mess is not failure.
It’s just being human.
Tomorrow, we try again. 🤍

I once read a line that hit me hard.
And it felt like someone finally put into words what I’ve been carrying for years.

People often tell me:

“Magpahinga ka naman.”
“Grabe ka magtrabaho.”
“Hindi masama mag-relax.”

And I know that.
I really do.

But here’s the quiet truth behind the grind:

When you grow up knowing that your effort affects more than just your own life…
you move differently.

Not everyone understands what it feels like to be the one people silently depend on.
To know that if you slow down too much, something else might slow down too.

I don’t come from generational wealth.
There’s no cushion waiting if things fall apart.
No dramatic rescue plan.

So I learned to become responsible early.
To think long-term.
To choose discipline over comfort most days.

And no — it’s not always heavy.
But it is real.

There were seasons I asked,
“Bakit ako?”
“I’m still figuring life out too.”

But over time, I realized —
this role shaped me.

It built resilience.
It strengthened my faith.
It taught me leadership before I even had the title.

Yes, it can be exhausting.
Yes, there are days I wish I could just choose for myself without considering anyone else.

But I also know this:

God sees the unseen sacrifices.
The silent prayers.
The tears no one knows about.

And I believe this season is not punishment —
it’s preparation.

To everyone who feels like they carry more than they show…

I see you.
You’re not dramatic.

✨ A little throwback story I want to share…

I just wanted to share this conversation with one of my previous VAs — one of my pioneers when I was just testing the waters of outsourcing.

Back then, I had zero idea how a VA agency works.
No SOPs, no structure, no systems — just a simple goal:
👉 to help others find jobs,
👉 lessen my workload,
👉 and finally have a bit of work-life balance.

Because honestly, I was working around the clock with barely any sleep. 😅

I remember just posting a hiring post in a group (I can’t even recall which one anymore), and this girl caught my attention. We started working on a task-based setup, and she trusted me even when I didn’t have everything figured out yet.

To that VA — thank you. 💛
You taught me how to trust my team, and you were one of the reasons I kept going and eventually built my agency.

Now, I’m finally showing up more —
Sharing my little life stories, struggles, and small wins, hoping that someone out there might relate or feel inspired.

I know not everyone may want to see my posts, and that’s okay. But if even one person feels seen or motivated, that’s already worth it.

To those I’ve missed seeing or replying to these past months, I’m truly sorry. Life has been full and beautiful — being a breadwinner, a mom, a student, and an entrepreneur all at once. I’m still learning to balance it all, but I’m trying my best.
