Nation + U | 125 YEARS OF LEGACY, INKED IN UNITY 💛💙

National University celebrates 125 years of academic excellence, transformative learning, and dedicated nation-building. Since its founding, NU has remained true to its mission of molding life-ong learners and future-ready leaders, anchored in its core values of integrity, compassion, innovation, resilience, and patriotism.

As part of this historic milestone, a special collaborative initiative led by NU The National brought together the official student publications and media teams of various NU campuses nationwide. This marks the first-ever joint effort across the NU system, bringing together diverse perspectives, creative voices, and shared aspirations in a unified showcase of the NU community's strength and solidarity.

The collaboration serves not only as a tribute to NU’s legacy but also as a symbol of its vibrant present and forward-looking future: where stories, ideas, and advocacies converge to inspire generations of scholars and citizens.

Now with 14 campuses and growing, National University remains steadfast in its vision of making quality, relevant, and accessible education available to more Filipinos. Through continued innovation and commitment, NU reaffirms its role in shaping a better, brighter future for the nation.

NU Lipa proudly took part in the Global Youth Summit 2025, a dynamic gathering co-organized by SM Cares and the Global Peace Foundation. The summit brought together passionate leaders from across the country to spark conversations and craft real solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.

Representing NU Lipa were dedicated student leaders and employees under the Community Extension Office, NSTP Office, and Student Development and Activities Office, in partnership with the Student Government, Comex Brigade, and various RSOs.

With energy, purpose, and commitment, the NU Lipa delegation stood as catalysts for change—turning ideas into action and inspiring a movement that goes beyond the summit.

NU Lipa began this special milestone with a simple yet deeply meaningful gesture—a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Don Mariano F. Jhocson Sr., the man whose vision gave birth to National University.

With the theme “Founded for the Filipinos, Built for the Nation,” today wasn’t just about looking back—it was about remembering the heart behind it all. A young Filipino’s dream to build a school for his fellow countrymen, and the generations that carried that dream forward.

As we celebrate 125 years, we remember the sacrifices, the stories, and the spirit that built our university. It’s more than a number—it’s every student who dared to dream, every educator who gave their all, and every step we’ve taken as a community.

In celebration of National University’s Founding Anniversary tomorrow, August 1, 2025, morning classes are suspended to allow the community to participate in this milestone event.

Face-to-face classes will resume at 11:00 AM, and synchronous online classes will begin at 1:00 PM.
Enrollment transactions will also resume from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Let’s take this moment to honor our legacy and move forward with renewed commitment to excellence.
