TINGNAN: Kasalukuyang ginaganap sa IWEP Lecture Hall ang isang educational discussion (ED) na pinamagatang, “Land, Life, and Liberation: Peasants, Indigenous Struggles, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)” ngayong gabi, ika-29 ng Oktubre.

Tungkol ito sa kung paanong parte ng isang mas malawak na pakikibaka para sa demokratikong systemang pang-agrikultura ang IPM.

Pinangunahan ng UP Entomological Society (UPES) ang nasabing ED.

Parte ito ng komemorasyon ng Buwan ng mga Pesante ngayong Oktubre.

HAPPENING NOW | Kasalukuyang nagtitipon-tipon ang sangkaestudyantehan ng Kolehiyo ng Pagsasaka at Agham Pampagkain, maging mga mag-aaral mula sa ibang kolehiyo sa IWEP Lecture Hall, ngayong Oktubre 29, 2025, upang pag-usapan at pagnilayan ang kasalukuyang estado ng pambansang pagsasaka sa Educational Discussion hatid ng UP Entomological Society na LAND, LIFE, AND LIBERATION: An Educational DIscussion on Peasants, Indigenous Struggles, and Integrated Pest Management.

Tampok sa gabing ito si Sophia Denise Diaz, Konsehal ng Konseho ng mga Iskolar ng Kolehiyo ng Pagsasaka at Agham Pampagkain, upang bigyang diin ang kampanya ng mga pesante at katutubo ng Timog Katagalugan, lalong-lalo na ang kinahaharap ngayong militarisasyon sa kanayunan, paglaban tungo sa tunay na reporma sa lupa, at panghihimasok ng mga korporasyon. Kasama niya sa gabing ito ang ilang mga eksperto at mag-aaral na bibigyang lalim ang iba pang usaping pampagsasaka.

Inaanyayahan ng CAFSSC ang bawat isa na dumalo sa talakayan ngayong gabi upang mapagtanto ang tunay na laban ng mga pesante bilang hakbang upang maibida ang mga magsasaka ngayong Buwan ng mga Pesante at mga Katutubong Pilipino.

The results of the 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, held last October 16–17, were released this October 21.

𝗠𝗴𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗯𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮!"

Sa diwang ito, isang mataas na pagpupugay ang iniaalay sa lahat ng mga pesante, manggagawang bukid, magsasaka at pambansang minorya sa kanayunan ng bansa na patuloy ang pagbubungkal ng lupa — para sa bayan!

Taos pusong nakikiisa ang UP Entomological Society sa pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Araw ng mga Pesante at ng Pambansang Minorya ngayong buwan ng Oktubre. Kinikilala natin ang malaki nilang ambag sa agrikultura at sa pagtataguyod ng tunay na seguridad sa pagkain ng sambayanang Pilipino. Ngunit sa kabila nito, nananatiling kahirapan at pananamantala ang danas ng ating mga pesante dala ng pyudal at kapitalistang sistemang pinapairal ng mga panginoong may-lupa at mga burukratang nagsisilbi sa kanila.

Bitbit ng pagdiriwang na ito, hamon sa atin na higit na makibahagi sa bawat pawis at sakripisyo ng mga pesante sa kanilang laban para sa tunay na reporma sa lupa! Bigo ang huwad na gobyerno sa pagbibigay ng makatao at makatarungang agraryong reporma; kaya’t nararapat lamang na tayo ay tumindig upang singilin ang kanilang mga pansariling interes na patuloy na nagpapabulok sa ating lipunan.

Mananatiling ang laksa-laksang lakas ng Uring Magsasaka bilang pangunahing pwersa ng bayan. Kaisa dapat tayo sa kanilang laban, at kaisa hanggang sa tagumpay!
