In this feast (AUGUST 22), particularly cherished by the Popes of modern times, we celebrate Mary as the Queen of Heaven and Earth.

Pope Pius XII in the Papal Encyclical Ad Coeli Reginam proposed the traditional doctrine on the Queenship of Mary and established this feast for the Universal Church.

Pope Pius IX said of Mary's queenship: "Turning her maternal Heart toward us and dealing with the affair of our salvation, she is concerned with the whole human race. Constituted by the Lord Queen of Heaven and earth, and exalted above all choirs of Angels and the ranks of Saints in Heaven, standing at the right hand of Her only-begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, she petitions most powerfully with Her maternal prayers, and she obtains what she seeks."

And Pope Pius XII added the following: "We commend that on the festival there be renewed the consecration of the human race to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Upon this there is founded a great hope that there will rejoice in the triumph of religion and in Christian peace...
..Therefore, let all approach with greater confidence now than before, to the throne of mercy and grace of our Queen and Mother to beg help in difficultly, light in darkness and solace in trouble and sorrow...
. Whoever, therefore, honours the lady ruler of the Angels and of men - and let no one think themselves exempt from the payment of that tribute of a grateful and loving soul - let them call upon her as most truly Queen and as the Queen who brings the blessings of peace, that She may show us all, after this exile, Jesus, who will be our enduring peace and joy."

On this blessed day, we honor the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother lifted into the glory of heaven, and celebrate the Feast of St. Tarcisius, the young martyr of the Eucharist. May their love for God inspire us to live with faith, purity, and devotion.

NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

Saint Tarcisius, you are our model, our defender, and our patron saint.
We acknowledge your sacrifice for Jesus and your willingness to die for Him.
You are now with Jesus in heaven, the One to whom you offered your life.

Saint Tarcisius, intercede for our intentions, since you are now with Christ.
Help us to be good and diligent altar servers, so that we may be worthy to be called servants of Christ.
Teach us, dear Saint Tarcisius, to pour out our love on the altar and to be role models for younger people and future servers of Christ.

Help us to be like you, ready to sacrifice, to give our time, and, if necessary, to lay down our lives for Jesus, keeping Him always in our hearts.

DAY EIGHT
NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

St. Tarcisius, you are an example of a good and faithful friend, one who never leaves us even in times of difficulties, trials, and challenges. You are truly a friend of Jesus because you defended Him with your life. When you delivered Jesus to the prisoners, you embraced Him and placed Him in your heart. Jesus is greatly proud of what you have done for Him.

Saint Tarcisius, teach us to love Jesus so that we may also be His friends, speaking with Him every day, and being open to one another, sharing our weaknesses, joys, and sorrows. Teach us also to defend Him from all our enemies, to stand up for Him before unbelievers, and to be steadfast in the face of hypocrisy, so that we may be worthy to be called friends of Jesus. Amen.

NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

St. Tarcisius, you are our role model of voluntariness. You offered yourself without condition to deliver Jesus and bring comfort from the Lord to our fellow Christians, even those in prison. As a true volunteer, you acted without expecting anything in return. You made our fellow Christians more hopeful and faithful because God used you to fulfill our ultimate goal, to please and love Him unconditionally.

Saint Tarcisius, intercede for us today as we face great trials and challenges in this time of crisis. Help us to offer ourselves in service to the needs of our society without expecting anything in return. Fill us with your love, compassion, and mercy, just as you showed in your time when Christians suffered great persecution. Amen.

St. Tarcisius, you are our example of humility.
Though you were young, your actions shone with humble greatness.
You offered yourself without fear, expecting nothing in return,
entrusting your journey entirely to God.

Saint Tarcisius, help us to live with the same humility in our daily work.
Teach us to show our love and compassion through our actions,
so that we may work with joy and purpose.
Help us to be kind, for kindness leads to true humility.
Guide us to serve without seeking recognition,
and to please God by doing good without expecting any reward.

NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

St. Tarcisius, you are indeed an example of deep faith, a faith so strong and filled with love that nothing can separate it from Christ. Your actions speak louder than words, and that is why you offered yourself to deliver the Blessed Sacrament to prisoners who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Saint Tarcisius, help us to nourish our faith so that we may grow in compassion and know our Lord Jesus Christ more deeply. Help us to recognize the work of Christ planted in our hearts, so that we may live our faith without conditions.

Make us examples to others, spreading love and hope, so that the fruits of the faith God has sown in our hearts may be seen in our lives. Amen.

NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

St. Tarcisius, you are truly the hope of Christians, those who testify to their faith in Christ, even when it means facing persecution and the possibility of death. Even today, many Christians are still persecuted for doing what is right. Yet what you have done stands as a wonderful example of unselfish love for our fellow believers.

In this way, you truly embody the hope of every Christian, bringing them the ultimate hope, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Saint Tarcisius, please intercede for us, that we too may become a source of hope for all, bringing Jesus to those who are in despair, depressed, or lonely. Help us share the ultimate hope with everyone: Christ the Redeemer, Christ the Comforter, Christ the fulfillment of life.

DAY THREE
NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

St. Tarcisius,
You are truly a model of an altar server on the Altar. You presented yourself wholeheartedly and with unconditional love to our Lord Jesus. You gave us a reason to love the Holy Eucharist and to defend our faith more deeply.

The altar is the place where we become holy, where we serve our Lord with dignity, reverence, and love, as we have seen in you. Intercede for us, for you chose God as your model.

Please help us to grow in holiness, to be more sensitive to the sins we commit, and to confess them sincerely to God through His priests. Help us to serve the community Christ has built, just as you did when Christians were persecuted and gave their lives for the faith.

Grant us the grace to be diligent in our duties as altar servers, to serve the Lord wholeheartedly and unconditionally. Pray for us to become living tabernacles, bearing Christ within us forever.

NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTYR OF THE EUCHARIST

St. Tarcisius,
You did not hesitate to present yourself as a source of hope for your fellow Christians imprisoned for their faith. God used you as an instrument of love, calling you to be a bearer of hope to the captives.

May you be our model of encouragement, guiding us to do God's will, to choose what is right, and to help those in need. Intercede for us and be a source of strength for all who face unseen battles.

We pray for the courage and encouragement to serve our King faithfully, despite the trials we may face along the way.

In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

DAY ONE
NOVENA TO ST. TARCISIUS, MARTRY OF THE EUCHARIST

You defended Jesus on your own. You stood for Him alone.
You protected our Lord from His enemies without hesitation.
You gave your whole heart in defending Jesus, no matter what happened.

You placed Jesus at the center of your heart,
so that no one could harm or hurt Him.
Even when others tried to hurt you,
you made sure the Blessed Sacrament was safe.

St. Tarcisius, help us to follow your example.
Teach us to praise and love the Blessed Sacrament,
to defend Jesus without hesitation,
and to serve Him wholeheartedly.

Help us open our hearts and minds every time we attend the Holy Mass.
Teach us to talk to Jesus not only in times of need,
but with every beat of our hearts.

Amen.

“It’s rather TOO EARLY to be posting this Lenten calendar”

No it’s not. Let us not forget that the Proclamation of the upcoming Feasts of the year is traditionally carried out on the feast of Epiphany, (which we have recently celebrated). This is a sensible choice since the said feast celebrates an ASTRONOMICAL EVENT (remember that the date of Easter determined by means of calculating the lunar calendar). But most importantly, it is the most appropriate time to be aware of these most important dates because Epiphanytide is not far from Lent and Easter, and Easter IS the PRINCIPAL Christian feast in the liturgical year.

And this is one of the problems with today’s liturgical revolution. People thinks that “it is way too early” to think about Lent and Holy Week, without realising how fast time flies, and before they knew it, they are at the cusp of Ash Wednesday, without having planned their penances for Lent. A lot of Catholics are caught unaware, unable to plan in advance, which then leads to a bad Lent.
