𝗗𝗜𝗪𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗬

With the conclusion of Pampanga State University’s University Days 2026, countless memories were created over the three-day celebration—marking it as the first-ever University Days following the university’s inauguration.

A variety of activities brought life to the event, from pageants such as Mx. Q&A and Mr. and Ms. Pampanga State University, to talent competitions including Honorian’s Best Dance Crew, Singkagaling, Battle of the Bands, and the debut of Your Peys Sounds Familyaur.

Beyond these, additional events such as the Fun Run, Sagalang-Dala, and the Yell Competition also took place, further energizing the spirit of the three-day celebration.

𝗗𝗜𝗪𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗟𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝘀. 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗨 ‘𝟮𝟲

Grace and confidence defined Ms. Lubao Campus 2026 Jacquelene Mae Brown’s strong performance at the Mr. and Ms. Pampanga State University 2026, where she secured multiple special awards and finished as the 2nd Runner-Up title holder, held at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center on May 15.

Brown stood out early in the competition, earning the Greenlight Choice Award and the DHVSU Multipurpose Cooperative Center Ambassador title during the sponsors’ selection segment, reflecting her strong appeal among partners and event backers.

Her elegance was further highlighted when she was named Best in Pampanga’s Costume, showcasing a Sampaguita-inspired attire during the costume segment that captured both cultural pride and creativity.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came during the question-and-answer portion, where Brown shared a heartfelt reflection on her journey when asked to describe her pageant experience in one Kapampangan word, highlighting “Malagu,” meaning beautiful, as she spoke about resilience, purpose, and determination shaped by the loss of her father at a young age.

Brown also dedicated her message to her fellow Honorians, encouraging them to rise above pain with “compassion, determination, and purpose,” earning applause from the audience during the segment.

In an interview, Brown reflected on her journey, saying, “What I am most proud of in this pageant journey is being able to push myself despite being nervous and doubting myself a lot,” adding that although there were moments of pressure and overwhelming experiences, she still continued and tried her best in every part of the competition.

She further shared that the experience helped her grow in confidence and allowed her to meet new people and learn new things.

The awarding ceremony capped off the pageant night inside the university gymnasium, with strong support from the Lubao community who applauded her achievements and multiple recognitions.

Brown’s haul of awards and placement marked one of the standout performances in this year’s competition, underscoring Lubao’s strong presence on the PampangaStateU stage.

𝗗𝗜𝗪𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗟𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗿. 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗨 '𝟮𝟲

Poise and professionalism carried Lubao’s John Emmanuel Torion through an intense battle of wit and charm at the Mr. and Ms. PampangaStateU pageant, earning him two special awards despite falling short of the Top 5 during the competition held at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center on May 15.

Torion first received the Mr. Professionalism award, placing him among the earliest candidates recognized during the special awards segment and setting the tone for his strong performance throughout the night.

His charm and commanding stage presence also earned him the Mr. Latria Coffee Choice Award under the Sponsor’s Choice category.

“This journey was never just about a title, but about becoming a representation for others — to believe in themselves, step beyond their comfort zones, and never be afraid of the unknown,” Torion said.

Representing the Lubao Extension Campus, Torion competed alongside candidates from various PampangaStateU campuses and colleges in a pageant that tested wit, advocacy, and personality.

As the first-ever Mr. PampangaStateU – Lubao Campus, he described his journey as a legacy of choice and hope — one that was never part of the plan, but was embraced with purpose.

“All the hard work, sacrifices, and challenges throughout this journey finally paid off, and for me, that alone is already a win,” he concluded.

Torion’s recognition served as proof that the Lubao campus made its presence felt, leaving the stage not in defeat, but with distinction.

Crowned as Mx. Q&A DHVSU – 2nd Runner-Up last year, Astrid E. Ramos, Mx. Lubao Campus 2026, finished strong in her first-and-final Pampanga State University Mx. Q&A comeback as Top 8 finalist, held at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center on May 13.

In the question-and-answer portion, Mx. Ramos gave a remarkable response when asked how it felt to be given another chance to compete just days before the pageant after believing that her Mx. Q&A journey had already ended last year, securing her spot in the Top 8.

“A wise man said, every setback is a setup for a better comeback. Last year, I was crowned as 2nd Runner-Up, and I thought that my journey ended there. But four days before the sashing ceremony, I received a call, asking me for a comeback. Indeed, life is full of unexpected turns, and I believe that if it’s your calling, it will keep on ringing. And I stand here today to answer that call,” stated Astrid E. Ramos.

In a Facebook post, Mx. Ramos also extended her deepest gratitude to those who offered unwavering support throughout her final Mx. Q&A journey, while also sharing, “Maybe because being ‘Mx.’ was never truly written in my destiny. And perhaps, God is redirecting me toward a path far greater than what I currently understand,” trusting in God’s perfect timing.

In her final moments, Mx. Astrid E. Ramos proudly brought home three awards that signify her legacy as the Mx. Lubao Campus 2026:

Vibrant performances filled the Institute of Physical Education (IPE) Court on May 14 as Honorian talents took the spotlight during the first-ever Your PEYS Sounds Familyaur, an afternoon showcase of music, impersonation acts, and student entertainment.

Among the standout performers was Chris Clamor of Pampanga State University–Lubao Campus, who impressed the crowd with a lively impersonation of Elizabeth Ramsey through a spirited rendition of “Waray-Waray”, earning the first runner-up.

Meanwhile, the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) was hailed as the champion after delivering an impressive impersonation of Ari Sta. Rita, while the College of Education (COE) secured second place for its performance of Arthur Nery’s “Pagsamo.”

Despite delays in the program schedule, the event pushed through with energy and enthusiasm from both participants and the audience, highlighting the creativity and performance skills of contestants from different colleges and campuses.

Representing Pampanga State University—Lubao Campus (PLC), Junabelle Llroag secured the 2nd Runner-Up title after delivering an emotional rendition of “Tatsulok,” earning applause from the audience and recognition from the judges held at Institute of Physical Education (IPE) Court, May 14.

When asked about her preparation leading up to the competition, Llroag shared, “it was not easy because it required a lot of time, effort, and discipline,” adding that she consistently practiced, prepared herself mentally and physically, and stayed focused and prayerful throughout the journey.

Llroag admitted that she felt nervous during her performance but was also excited and happy because she was able to showcase her talent and represent the campus.

She further expressed that being announced as 2nd Runner-Up made her feel overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude, especially since she did not expect the recognition and felt proud that all of her hard work and preparations paid off.

“This achievement means a lot to me as a performer because it is not just a simple award, but also a symbol of all the sacrifices, hard work, and effort I invested in this competition,” Llroag stated, adding that the experience strengthened her confidence and inspired her to continue improving her talent even more.

She also expressed gratitude to the people who trusted, supported, and assisted her throughout the journey, especially the Student Council and everyone who guided and helped her along the way, emphasizing that their encouragement and motivation played a big part in making her performance successful.

“I hope this achievement will also inspire others to believe in themselves and never be afraid to showcase their abilities,” she added, while sharing that the recognition is also a great honor for the campus as it reflects the talent, dedication, and potential of PLC students.

Her performance showcased strong emotion, vocal control, and confidence on stage, making her one of the standout performers throughout the competition.

L'XIANS from Pampanga State University – Lubao Campus once again showcased their passion and talent after securing the Honorian's Best Dance Crew (HBDC) 3rd Runner-Up title at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center on May 14.

Chester John Biendo, L'XIANS Captain, reflected on their performance during the competition, stating "I think that we wrecked the stage. I mean, our piece really screams power and power, so I guess it really feels like we’re shaking the gymnasium."

He then added that despite knowing beforehand that another team used the same music, they promised themselves that they would set the bar and simply enjoy the stage.

The team also expressed pride and gratitude for remaining on the podium, noting that from a 1st Runner-Up finish in HBDC ‘25, they secured 3rd Runner-Up this year while still maintaining the distinction as the first regular campus to achieve such recognition in HBDC.

When asked about the challenges they faced during preparations, Biendo stated, “The biggest challenge we faced during preparations… well it’s a lot to be honest but I feel like the most difficult challenge was when we were forced to drop our first choreographer due to schedule conflicts.”

He explained that the group had to step in and help choreograph parts of the routine while searching for a new choreographer, adding that the experience taught them they were capable of contributing creatively not only for opening numbers but also for competitions.

Through their performance, L’XIANS once again proved the growing strength of Lubao Campus in the university’s dance scene.
