MODEL 101 | What's a Model Comp Card?

A Comp Card—also known as a Composite Card, Z-Card, Zed Card, Sedcard or Setcard —is a model's professional marketing card. It's often the first thing clients, designers, photographers, and casting directors review before deciding whether to book you.

Every professional comp card should include:
• Beauty Headshot
• Full Body Shot
• Side/Profile Shot
• Editorial / Personality Shot

Remember: Your comp card should answer one question:

"Can this model do the job?"

THROWBACK | 2016

Long before IMA Models was established in the Philippines, its founder, Ingrid Aureada, was featured by TFC The Filipino Channel in the original series 24x24, sharing her journey as a OFW building a career in Dubai.

Being featured on an international platform that showcased inspiring Filipino stories around the world was more than a milestone—it was a testament that passion, resilience, and purpose transcend borders.

Ten years later, that same vision continues to shape IMA Models and its commitment to discovering, developing, and creating opportunities for aspiring talents.

The full episode remains available to viewers today—a timeless reminder that every great journey starts with a single step.

What began in Dubai continues to inspire, now from Quezon Province to the world.

Naka-leave ang social media manager namin. 😂

So habang wala siya, kami muna ang sasagot sa mga tanong n'yo tungkol sa modeling.

Today's FAQ:

"Ma'am, pwede ba akong maging model kahit maliit ako?"

YES. 🙌

Kasi hindi lahat ng models ay para sa runway. Maraming opportunities sa commercial, print, lifestyle, promotional, at digital campaigns.

At ngayon, kayo naman. 👇

💬 Anong modeling question ang gusto mong masagot?

Comment it below (kahit feeling mo "basic" lang). Baka ang tanong mo ang ma-feature sa susunod na .

Have you ever wondered why some models look taller in photos than they actually are?

It's rarely because of height.

It's because they understand how to create length.

One of the biggest mistakes I see among aspiring models in the Philippines is the habit of making themselves smaller in front of the camera—tucking the chin, collapsing the shoulders, shortening the neck, or hiding the legs to "fit" the frame.

Please don't do that.

As Filipinos, we already know that we're not the tallest in the international modeling industry. That's exactly why every pose should work for you, not against you.

Professional models don't try to look smaller.

They create long necks, strong posture, clean lines, and elegant body shapes that give the illusion of height and presence.

Remember this:

Your job is not to fit inside the photographer's frame. The photographer's job is to fit the frame around you.

Own your space. Extend your body. Create length.

That's one of the secrets to looking editorial.
