As the Division Schools Press Conference officially concluded, three of Grade 8 Listerโ€™s brightest journalists emerged victorious during the Closing Ceremony held at the Midsayap Gymnasium on January 12.

Our class president Kim Clarenze Sorongon, who, together with his team, clinched the championship title in Online Publishing in English. Their victory earned them a slot at the upcoming Regional Schools Press Conference to be held in Surallah, South Cotabato on February 25.

Meanwhile, Alyzza Katte Jolo and Mica Ellah Castillo also showcased commendable performance after securing 4th place in the same category, narrowly missing a podium finish.

Guiding their success was our class adviser and coach, Ivy Grace G. Gildo, as well as her co-coach, RJ Lyn Sabinay, whose mentorship played a vital role in honing the teamโ€™s journalistic skills.

Their achievement once again proves that wherever a Listerian competes, excellence followsโ€”as the school mantra proudly says "excellence is our business."

Once again, congratulations on you three and wishing Kim the best for the coming RSPC.

With its powerful voices and persistent pursuit to reclaim the championship, Grade 8 Lister (Special Program in Journalism) has officially reclaimed the championship for Poetry Reading in English, conducted on November 26 at 2 PM in the afternoon at the PAGCOR Building Facade.

This was Listerโ€™s bounce-back moment after a one-year hiatus from being the champion in Poetry Reading. At talaga namang ramdam ang labanโ€”worth it ang syagit kag walkout ni Pres!

This achievement wouldnโ€™t have been possible without the guidance of our beautiful class adviser, Mrs. Ivy Grace G. Gildo, with the help of her assigned leadersโ€”our class president, Kim Clarenze Sorongon; our class chismosa, Ariannah Faith Inocencio; our class maarte at โ€œover sa OA,โ€ Alyzza Kate Jolo; the brightest thinkers who planned what to do, Argelyn Maghari and Janna Abing; at syempre, everyoneโ€™s participation in this momentous occasion.

As we officially reclaimed the title, we learned that being humble and ensuring everyoneโ€™s participation are very crucial to this moment. Totoo nga, kapag sama-sama, panalo lagi.
