🌿 A True Story
🌈A Heart Surrendered to God
There was a woman who loved God deeply. She worked in a hospital, serving patients not merely as a duty, but with the love of Christ in her heart. Though she felt unskilled and uncertain at times, she gave everything she had — her kindness, her care, her gentle touch. She hoped for a permanent position, believing God had placed her there to shine His light.
But the days grew heavy. Her supervisor spoke harshly, humiliated her in front of patients and colleagues, handled documents with anger, and even grabbed her hand roughly. She told herself, "Perhaps she is tired. Perhaps she is hurting. I will pray for her." Yet the cruelty continued, and no one stepped in.
At home, her heart ached even more. She shared her pain with the one person she thought would protect her — her husband. But he dismissed her feelings, invalidated her tears, and acted as though nothing was wrong. She noticed things that did not make sense — words that did not match actions, secrets she could sense but not prove. She felt betrayed, lonely, and misunderstood.
Money grew tight. Her salary was delayed, and she could barely provide for her children’s meals, school needs, and daily expenses. Her health suffered — her blood pressure rose dangerously, her heart raced, her hands trembled, and she grew weak and dizzy. She missed meals at work; there was no time to rest, no time even to take her medicine.
Yet in the midst of it all, she kept serving. She wiped the tears of a worried mother whose baby was ill. She held the hand of an elderly woman who blessed her and said, "God is with you." And she replied, "Yes, He is. And God loves you too."
People misunderstood her. Some thought she pretended to be good. But she smiled and kept going — because she knew God saw her heart. She told God, "I cannot do this alone. Help me." When her husband suggested revenge, she said, "No. Let God be the judge." She prayed for mercy, justice, and deliverance. She waited, though her heart was breaking.
✍️ Lessons Learned
1. Your true worth is found in God alone — not in how people treat you. A supervisor’s cruelty or a spouse’s silence does not define your value. You are God’s beloved child, created with purpose and dignity.
2. Kindness and forgiveness do not mean silence or weakness. You prayed for your supervisor and chose not to seek revenge — that honors God. But you also spoke up, reported what was wrong, and protected your dignity. Doing good does not mean enduring harm forever.
3. God sees every tear and every injustice. He knows what was said in secret, what was done in anger, and what was hidden from you. Nothing escapes His sight.
4. Continue doing good even when it costs you. You served patients with love despite your own pain. That is the highest form of worship — to keep loving because God first loved you.
5. Your health matters. Your body is God’s temple. Rest, food, and medicine are not luxuries — they are necessities. You cannot pour from an empty cup.
6. God will provide. Even when your salary is delayed and resources are scarce, He has never failed you. He feeds the birds and clothes the lilies — He will care for you and your children.
7. Healing takes time. You can forgive, but you may still feel the pain. That is not failure — that is being human. Bring your confusion and hurt to God; He will sustain you.
🕊️ Actions That Still Honor God
- Continue serving with a sincere heart, but set healthy boundaries. You do not need to accept abuse to be a faithful servant.
- Speak truth respectfully — report mistreatment properly, as you have done. God honors integrity and justice.
- Pray for those who hurt you, but do not allow them to keep wounding you. Love does not require you to remain unprotected.
- Entrust your worries to God daily. Tell Him your fears, your needs, your confusion. He listens.
- Take care of yourself. Eat, rest, take your medicine. Honor God by caring for the body He gave you.
- Be patient but firm. Wait on God’s timing, but do not stay in a place that destroys your health and peace. He will make a way.
- Keep loving your children. Your faith and strength are the greatest gifts you can give them. They will see God’s love through you.
