The Jive originated in the United States during the early 1930s, developed by African American communities as a lively form of swing dance.
It evolved from earlier styles such as the Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, and East Coast Swing.
American soldiers introduced the Jive to Europe during World War II, where it quickly became popular.
By the 1950s, it was standardized as one of the five International Latin ballroom dances.
Known for its fast tempo, energetic kicks, and upbeat rhythm, the Jive remains a symbol of joyful and youthful dance expression around the world.

The Cha-Cha-Cha originated in Cuba during the early 1950s, created by Cuban composer and violinist Enrique Jorrín.
It developed from the Danzón and Mambo, two popular Cuban ballroom dances at the time.
Jorrín introduced a new rhythm with a distinct “cha-cha-cha” sound made by dancers’ feet, which inspired the dance’s name.
The dance quickly spread to Latin America, the United States, and Europe, becoming one of the most popular Latin ballroom styles.
Today, Cha-Cha-Cha is known for its lively, flirtatious, and rhythmic movements, often featured in both social and competitive ballroom dancing.

🧬 Basic Information
Feature Details
Common name Common house gecko
Scientific name Hemidactylus frenatus
Length Around 7–15 cm including tail
Color Pale gray, brown, or yellowish (changes slightly to blend in)
Activity Nocturnal (active at night)
Habitat Walls, ceilings, near lamps, inside houses and buildings
Diet Insects like mosquitoes, moths, flies, ants, cockroaches
🌿 How House Geckos Help You
Even though some people find them scary or messy, geckos are actually very useful creatures around the house.
🪰 1. They eat household pests
Geckos help control insects and bugs, especially mosquitoes, flies, moths, and cockroaches.
One gecko can eat dozens of insects every night — they’re like natural pest controllers.
💨 2. They help reduce diseases
Because they eat mosquitoes, geckos help lessen the risk of mosquito-borne diseases like dengue and malaria.
They also eat flies, which carry bacteria and spread germs.
