Radio Kabataan is the newest program of Voice of the Youth Network, in partnership with DZXL. The program aims to energize Saturday mornings through segments that INFORM, INSPIRE, INVOLVE and EMPOWER the Filipino youth. Segments
INFORM – Good News Kabataan (10 minutes)
• “Ulo ng Magandang Balita” – positive news from VOTY youthcas
ters all over the Philippines; school-based or area-based reports on recent happenings
• “Kaabang-Abang” – report on upcoming events like seminars, summits, expos, etc. that the youth can attend or participate in
• “ ” – short, positive feature stories that are trending in social media
• “Alam Mo Ba” – trivia of the day, like “this day in history,” interesting life hacks, etc. INSPIRE – Ikaw Na! (15 minutes)
• Featured youth achievers to share their inspiring stories, life lessons and advocacies
• Student leader, cover artists, youth awardee (i.e., Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines), etc. INVOLVE – Tara Kabataan! (15 minutes)
• Discussion and commentary on local and international youth programs
• Talk about details, requirements, deadline for application, etc.
• Invite National Youth Commission, or other sponsoring organizations to discuss and elicit participation from the listeners
EMPOWER – Galawang Kabataan (10 minutes)
• Life skill tips and tricks for the youth
• “Challenge for the Week”
• Example: start a savings plan, break a bad habit, going out of comfort zone

Radyo Kabataan is an hour-long radio program that is for the youth, by the youth. Hosted by a
team of vibrant, energetic young people, this program brings news, features and stories that
inspire, motivate and empower the youth. The show features guests – individuals or organizations – that have youth-oriented programs, events and advocacies. Through Radyo Kabataan, their stories are shared in order to inspire more young people into volunteerism and involvement to positive social change. Radyo Kabataan also has the following segments:
Balitang Kabataan – news from youth correspondents from various schools and
universities all over the country
W.O.W (Word Of the Week) – a featured word will be discussed including its definition,
context and use, for the purpose of helping the youth expand their vocabulary
Radyo Bulilit – a 15-minute, twice-a-month children’s radio drama focused on values
formation
