As part of its preparatory activities for reviewing the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC), 2006, members of its Special Tripartite Committee (STC) convened on 31 January 2025, at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila.

Discussed during the meeting were the summary of discussions and status of outcomes from the previous STC meetings and the proposals for amendment to the Code of the MLC, 2006, as amended.

Presiding the meeting is DOLE OIC-Assistant Secretary Maria Consuelo S. Bacay (top photo, center), attended by other DOLE Officials namely: (left to right) DOLE CALABARZON Regional Director Erwin N. Aquino, Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) Director Alvin B. Curada, International Labor Affairs Task Force (ILATF) Head Atty. Abigail R. Dela Rosa, and BWC OIC for Policy and Program Development Division Atty. Ma. Felichie Erica P. Valeriano.
