At 7:00 PM today, the storm’s center was located over the coastal waters of Calayan, Cagayan, with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gusts reaching up to 105 km/h. Crising is moving at a speed of 20 km/h and is expected to intensify further into a severe tropical storm by late tomorrow or early Sunday as it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The storm remains a significant weather system, bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall, and hazardous sea conditions to much of Northern and Central Luzon, and parts of the Visayas and Mindanao affected by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon.

As of 4:00 PM today, July 17, the center of Crising was located approximately 545 km east of Baler, Aurora, or 335 km northeast of Virac, Catanduanes, carrying maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h, gusts of up to 70 km/h, and moving west-northwest at 30 km/h.
