Between Right and Real
The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in those who tell the truth.”
— Proverbs 12:22 NLT
Life often places us in situations where we must choose between what is right and what feels real.
Sometimes, doing what’s right seems impossible especially when reality is full of pressure, fear, or pain.
You might face a moment when honesty could cost you an opportunity, when forgiveness feels unfair, or when obedience to God seems illogical.
In those moments, your heart wrestles between truth and comfort, between faithfulness and feelings.
The “right” path often looks narrow, lonely, and costly. But remember what is “real” to the world is often temporary, while what is “right” before God is eternal.
Choosing right over real is not pretending life isn’t hard it’s trusting that God’s way is still the best way, even when reality says otherwise.
Doing right may not make sense now, but it brings peace that “realism” cannot.
When you walk in integrity, you may lose people, chances, or comfort but you gain God’s favor.
And His favor is far more valuable than anything you could lose.
