They disappeared for days…
and no one knew if they would ever come back.
In Changchun, China, seven dogs went missing—leaving their owners searching, calling, and slowly losing hope as temperatures dropped below freezing.
Then… a video appeared.
It showed them.
A golden retriever, Labrador, German shepherd, Pekinese… and others—walking together along a highway, more than 17 kilometers from home.
And leading them all… was a small corgi named Dapang, whose name means “big fatty.”
The clip spread fast—over 230 million views—as people watched the group move like a pack, staying close, determined, as if they knew exactly where they were going.
One local volunteer, Tong Tong, was so worried she started searching for them herself. She went door to door, posted flyers, and even used a drone to scan the snowy landscape, afraid they wouldn’t survive the cold without food or water.
For days… nothing.
Then, on March 18, something incredible happened.
Dapang walked through his owner’s door.
Alive.
The owner, who had been searching for four days, followed the trail—and found the others nearby, safe, taken in by another villager.
Later reports suggested the dogs had simply wandered off together, possibly following a scent… and then found their way back.
No map. No guide.
Just instinct… and each other.
Because sometimes, no matter how far they go…
they always find their way home.
