Since then, I have aimed to become an ESL teacher. I wanted to pursue it as a part-time job alongside teaching at school, but I didn’t know how to start.

When I resigned from my previous school and began applying to teach abroad, God led me to become an ESL teacher. At first, it was a new setup. Hindi pala siya ganoon kadali, na uupo at magtuturo. Hindi lang siya basta mag-english ka at ituro ang vocabulary since English is a foreign language for the students.

I am grateful for the nine months I spent teaching at 51Talk. I was so happy to meet different kids, teenagers, and even adults. Indeed, God allowed me to enter this field to prepare me for the next adventure I am on today.

I miss all my previous Chinese students. All the laughter, stories, and roller-coaster emotions will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you, Lord! πŸ˜‡πŸ’–
