One week off.
One week of fever, bed rest, and zero workouts.
And it felt like forever.

Getting sick reminded me how much I take my strength for granted.
The energy to lift. The ability to walk 30 minutes without feeling drained.
The simple joy of moving my body in my own living room.

Coming back to my home workout today wasn’t easy.
The dumbbells felt heavier. My lungs were asking “are you sure about this?”
But I showed up anyway.

Because getting back on track after being sick isn’t just about muscle.
It’s about getting my strength back.
It’s about telling my body: “We’re not quitting. We’re rebuilding.”
It’s about honoring the health I have by using it.

Progress isn’t linear. Sometimes you pause.
But what matters is that you come back.

And I have to come back strong...

The shift from a busy workday to personal time looks exactly like this! 🐾 I just closed my laptop after a long day of working from home, and Magnus immediately stepped in to officially signal that the workday is over. Look at those giant, expressive eyes—how could I possibly stress about deadlines with this fluffy face looking at me? 🥹🖤

Now that my favorite coworker has clocked out, it's time to lace up my sneakers and step onto the treadmill. When your home is also your office, getting a walk in at the end of the day has become my ultimate sanity saver. It acts as my "fake commute"—a dedicated routine to unplug, physically separate from the desk energy, and invest back into my physical and mental well-being. A little movement goes a long way in turning a heavy workday into a restful evening. Cheers to showing up for ourselves, one step at a time! 👟✨

Iya 🐱😻

This is how it all started.
A stray cat kept coming to my yard for food. For months.
I fed her, talked to her, and she never left.

I told myself: “Okay, next month I’ll get her spayed.”
But life had other plans.

She was pregnant.
And yesterday, she gave birth right here, where she felt safest.
2 little grey tabby kittens. Healthy. Loud. Perfect.

I didn’t plan on being a cat grandma 😂
But I did plan on being kind.
And kindness brought us here.

To this mama cat: thank you for choosing me.
To the kittens: welcome. The world is hard, but you’ve got someone in your corner now. 💛

Cats are weirdly obsessed with anything that has edges/walls. Psychologists even call it the _“If I fits, I sits”_ rule. 🐾🗑️

A tray or basket gives them a defined boundary = instant security. It’s like their own little fort where nothing can sneak up from the sides. 🐾💞

Paris is clingy when I work because to her,
my lap is the safest place in the whole house 🏠💛
It’s not about attention. It’s about trust 🤝🐾

She knows when my shoulders are tense 😮‍💨
She knows when I’ve been staring at the screen too long 💻👀
So she climbs up, curls in, and turns my “work mode”
into “breathe mode” 😌✨

My anxiety drops without me noticing 📉💛
My heart rate slows to match her purrs 🐱💓
Deadlines still exist, but they stop feeling so heavy 🪶

She doesn’t distract me.
She regulates me 🧘‍♀️
She reminds me that I’m not just a person with tasks.
