The RTU Kultura Rizalia Dance Troupe is beyond grateful for the opportunity to be part of the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 2025, held last 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 24, 2025 at the 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢!
It was truly a heartwarming celebration of culture, artistry, and history, and we are deeply honored to have shared the stage with so many remarkable dance groups from across the Philippines. Through our performance of “𝑳𝒂𝒎𝒊-𝑳𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆,” we proudly brought to life the rich stories and traditions of the Yakan community — celebrating our own heritage through every movement and rhythm.
The audience’s cheers, warm presence, and overwhelming support inspire us to continue carrying the spirit of Filipino culture onto every stage we step on.
This meaningful experience would not have been possible without the invaluable support of many individuals and institutions. Our deepest gratitude goes to:
• Ayala Corporation
• Samsung Performing Arts Theater
• Rizal Technological University
• Assoc. Prof. Evelyn Dagami, CAU Director
• The Cultural Affairs Unit staff and advisers
• RTU Kultura Rizalia Dance Troupe alumni
• Sir Rommel P. Serrano and Dave Parsley Lavalle of Kalilayan Folkloric Group
• Guidance of our former trainer-adviser, Sir Allan Carlo Piol
• Dance Researcher of Yakan Dance Suite Sir Francis Earl Pasilan
• The passionate and dedicated members of RTU Kultura Rizalia Dance Troupe
• Ms. Angel May S. Lapinig, for her creative vision that brought our performance to life
We extend our thanks to the organizers of International Dance Day Fest 2025 for bringing together an inspiring community of artists and enthusiasts who celebrate the beauty of dance and culture.
As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to more seasons of sharing, inspiring, and honoring the richness of our traditions through the art of dance.
