NEWS UPDATE: Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said Senator Erwin Tulfo could replace Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson as Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chair following Lacson’s resignation.

In a radio interview on Wednesday, October 8, Sotto said Tulfo, the committee’s vice chairperson, may automatically assume the post if the five initially considered senators decline, adding that Tulfo would be a good choice for the position.

Ikinagulat ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos nang malamang hindi umano sinunod ng administrasyon ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang umiiral na sistema para maiwasan ang anumang korupsyon sa pondo para sa government projects.

"Kapag nakitang hindi maganda at hindi tama ang ginawang [proyekto], hindi pipirmahan ang acceptance. Kapag hindi pinirmahan ang acceptance ng local government, hindi mababayaran ang contractor... 'yun ang sistema noon," saad ng pangulo sa kanyang "BBM Podcast."
