Bislig cops nabbed suspects of Robbery Extortion

Bislig City Police Station, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur ------- Suspects were arrested in an entrapment and hot pursuit operation by operatives of this station for the complaint of robbery extortion at Purok -4 Castillo Village, and Purok 2 Saint Paul all located in Barangay Mangagoy, Bislig City

POLICE LIEUTENANT COLONEL MICHAEL B LOZADA Bislig City Police Station Chief of Police identified the arrested suspects as Mr. Mark Anthony Botero Alob, 33 years old, with live-in partner a resident of Purok -4 Castillo Village and Kenny Jamero Espedang, of legal age, single and a resident of Purok 2 Saint Paul Mangagoy, Bislig City.

Accordingly, on January 8, 2022, victim FO2 June-Rey Lestones Aure averred that his sister Ms. Kenneth Aure Garcia Sy received a message thru messenger on December 24, 2021 from an unknown person using Facebook Account “Botchoky Chula” demanding Php 20,000.00 so as not to spread the n**e pictures of his brother June-Rey.

Immediately upon receipt of the report of the incident, a briefing was conducted by the Intel operatives of Bislig CPS for the entrapment operation at the agreed location by the victim and the suspect. There and then, the victim was instructed by the suspect thru messenger to give the money to a certain Danny Agopetak. Minutes later, suspect Mark Anthony Botero Alob appeared to collect the money that prompted the operating personnel to effect the arrest.

On the other hand suspect Kenny Jamero Espedang was arrested during hot pursuit operation at his residence.

During the arrest, the accused were duly informed of their Constitutional Rights and subsequently brought to Bislig City Police Station for disposition and documentation.

COP LOZADA added that “I will not tolerate any wrongdoings like this and that this will serve as a warning to everyone. This is also a call and an appeal to the public to immediately report similar incident to Bislig City Police Station for our immediate and appropriate police action, response, and operation. Let us always remember that fighting criminality is a shared responsibility.

LOOK: A military helicopter dropped desperately needed aid into island barangays of the typhoon-ravaged Surigao City, as survivors of the disaster helped unload and carry relief goods.
The number of people who died due to Typhoon Odette in Surigao City has reached five. The city’s disaster response command center listed at least 50,957 families who had been displaced, lost their homes or saw their houses damaged by Odette, the strongest tropical cyclone to hit the country this year.

Giabisuhan usab ang mga anaa sa coastal areas na maglikay daan sa possibleng mahitabo na mga storm surges.

According to Anime News Network, the upcoming film is titled "Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween," as per an issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday.
