While around 150 participants submitted their stories online, only 12 were selected for publicationโ€”one of which is โ€œLost Giftโ€, written under the pen name Anjthology by Miss Angelica Mae P. Tirante, the current Editor-in-Chief of Metro-Dagupan Colleges' official student publication, Trailblazer.

According to Maโ€™am Michelle Dulinayan, Editor-in-Chief of Bookshelf PH, the selection process was rigorous, with only a small number of entries making it into the final cut.

This achievement opens another creative door for Ms. Tirante, further solidifying her voice as both a young writer and a student journalist. Balancing her editorial duties with creative writing, she continues to make meaningful contributions to the countryโ€™s literary and campus press communities.

The MDC Management has decided to declare an ACADEMIC BREAK from September 24, 2025 (Wednesday) to September 27, 2025 (Saturday). There will be NO CLASSES (onsite and online) IN ALL LEVELS during this period as we all prepare for the upcoming Semi-Final Exams.

Here is the UPDATED Semi-final examinations:

September 29-30, 2025 - 2nd Achievement Test (JHS), Semi-Final Exams (SHS); College Cycle 1 schedule
October 1-2, 2025 - College Cycle 2 Schedule
October 3, 2025 - Friday Schedule Cycle 1&2
October 4, 2025 - Saturday Schedule Cycle 1&2

Meanwhile, the MDC Campus will be OPEN for all transactions.
