Don’t give your kids everything you never had. Teach them everything you never knew.

It’s easy to think that loving your children,
means giving them more stuff: nicer clothes, a new iPhone, the dream vacation.

But if all we give them is stuff, we’re setting them up to repeat the same financial mistakes we made.

Real love is teaching them how to work hard, save money, give generously, and stay out of debt.

Lawyer Nicholas Kaufman will lead the legal team of former President Rodrigo Duterte as he faces charges of crimes against humanity for murder before the International Criminal Court, according to Vice President Sara Duterte.

Kaufman is identified as a national of the United Kingdom and Israel on the list of ICC counsels.

Vice President Duterte said the defense team is set to meet with Kaufman in person when he arrives in The Hague.

Aside from Kaufman, also part of the former President’s legal team is former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

A LinkedIn profile for Kaufman identifies him as an international lawyer and ICC Defence Counsel, and states that he is one of the leading advocates specializing in international criminal law, supra-national regulatory law and commercial arbitration.

He also used to be a prosecutor at the ICC.

It also states that he is a legal public relations specialist focusing on international reputation management, litigation and crisis public relations.

Arresting a leader who dedicated his presidency to protecting the people sends a dangerous message—that those who fight for law and order can be punished for their actions. It is a political maneuver that will only divide the country further, fueling outrage among his supporters and weakening the trust of the people in the current administration.
