Let us live the Gospel as best we can and hope that by the witness of our life we will cause those who know us to reflect upon their own response to God.

"The disciples approached Jesus and said, “Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?”

He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me."

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father."

Matthew 11:1-5, 10

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, pray for us!
July 16

***
With July 16 as her feast day, this title of Mary is associated with brown scapulars. The scapular comes to us through the vision of St. Simon Stock. Our Lady gave St. Simon a scapular for the Carmelites with the following promise, saying : "Receive, My beloved son, this habit of thy order: this shall be to thee and to all Carmelites a privilege, that whosoever dies clothed in this shall never suffer eternal fire .... It shall be a sign of salvation, a protection in danger, and a pledge of peace." Many miracles have been attributed to the scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

Happy and blessed Monday, friends!

I’d love to share with you this original song I wrote and recorded.

I thought it’s especially fitting to share now, since we just celebrated Pentecost Sunday yesterday. 🔥

The Holy Spirit gives us courage—and we’ve already received His power through baptism.

May this song uplift, inspire, and empower you today as you walk boldly in faith.

Belated blessed Pentecost!

Jesus said to his disciples: “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first."

Are there people who hate or do not like you because you follow God's commands or you stand up for what is right?

Remember that it is not you alone whom they oppose or hate. Your Master was hated by them first.

Draw strength from your Master and Lord Jesus.

"When they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe. After this he appeared in another form to two of them walking along on their way to the country. They returned and told the others; but they did not believe them either. But later, as the Eleven were at table, he appeared to them and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they had not believed those who saw him after he had been raised." - Mark 16:11-14

Are there people who also do not believe your words even when you are telling the truth?

It's possible that they are biased AGAINST you or they find your message impossible or difficult to believe.

Be strong. Keep speaking the truth and proclaiming the Good News! Wait for God to vindicate you.
