The Murky Stream’ Action Director Praises Rowoon’s Acting Skills

In the beginning, since Siyul is a man hiding his true identity so his fighting style is quiet and efficient like minimal moves, maximum impact. As the story unfolded and he awakened to his full potential. I wanted the action to reflect his transformation. By the end, he’s unleashed, pouring everything out. The action isn’t just about style; it tells his story.

I thought it would be good to utilise Rowoon's outstanding physique to create action. Clean, extended, and impactful one-strike style would suit him best. Since every fight for Siyul is about survival, we didn’t want it to feel like he was just mimicking movements. We worked to ensure that he could express his emotions through his body.

He told me he was ready to put his whole body on the line. He didn’t want to look cool. he wanted the action to feel desperate and dramatic. He really didn’t hold back. This is the first time I've seen an actor like this! Rowoon named this scene as his most memorable action moment. (Siyul&Wang Hae final fight) “I didn’t hold anything back. The reason I gave it my all was because of my love for the character,”
