We’re teaching our 10 years old son early that money should be earned, not expected.
Instead of just handing him what he wants, we encouraged him to sell baked goods and save for the things he needs. Through his own effort, he was able to buy the 3D machine he had been dreaming of.
It wasn’t easy—but that’s the point. He learned that it feels much better to earn something than to be given everything. He now understands the value of hard work, responsibility, and discipline.

We want him to grow up independent, not someone who goes around asking others for help when he can help himself.

To those who always depend on others for their needs—remember, self-reliance starts with the willingness to try. Teach the young ones to build, not beg. A little effort today builds a stronger tomorrow.
